retail snow leopard on ASUS help ! :o

I have read in this forum and others that this is not a vanilla kernel or something and there are bootloaders made specially for non-vanilla kernels. I also know that it is possible to hackintosh this so which bootloader should I use ?
  4. Hello everyone, I have built a custom computer with the following hardware components. I have only changed the graphics card, RAM, and power supply. I have tried ###### 3.3.0 from tonymacx86 and Hazard 10.6.6i and the retail SL 10.6.3 DVD to install SL but to no avail. Can you please advise me what I should do next ? Broadcom BCM5787M/BCM5784M - A solution

Hey guys I have a Dell Latitude E6400 and a Dell Studio 1555. Does anyone know how to make wifi/ethernet work with either models ? Thanks !! GMA X4500

I also have a Dell Latitude E6400 with Intel GMAX3100. Anyone have any sort of workaround or partial solution to this problem yet ? Also, I have hazard's 10.6.6i disk and I tried to install this in this laptop (Dell latutide E6400) but it failed... snow leopard set up gives a kernel panic when I boot from ######. However installing snow leopard 10.6.3 on this laptop works perfectly with the retail version. The reason i say this is because when I used Hazard's disk in my old laptop (Dell Studio 1555) i can see a kext for Intel GM45/X3100 graphics. But when i try to install hazard 10.6.6i to this laptop (Dell Latitude E6400) it gives a kernel panic so I can't install it. Anyone know how to make Hazard's 10.6.6i work on this latitude E6400 because hazard's 10.6.6i disk has that GMAX3100 driver.
  7. I also have ATI Radeon HD 4570 on a Dell Studio 1555 on Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 2.40 Ghz. Will this method work ? Should I use the retail 10.6.3 Snow Leopard DVD ? (it does not come with Kext utility or kext helper) ?? Thanks for your reply ! Contact email: ghostanime2001@gmail.com

Is this a retail SL installation ? I have a Dell Studio 1555 with P8600 CPU with the same graphics card. Will this method work ? I am using Hazard's 10.6.6i Universal.

Dell 1545 Snow Leopard Retail/boot132 Install

Hello everyone, I used tonymacx86 install guide with ###### 3.3.0 and a retail version of Snow Leopard 10.6.3 with the green sticker labelled "New Version 10.6.3" on the top right of the box. I cannot start up the Installation of Snow Leopard. I have used this boot flag "-f -v PCIRootUID=1 GraphicsEnabler=No" and when viewed in verbose mode, the last line states: ACPI: System State [s0 S3 S4 S5] (S3) I do not know what to do next... Hardware specifications Dell Studio 1555 (very close to Inspiron 1545) CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 2.40 Ghz Ram: 4GB shared Video: 512 MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 Thanks much appreciated, I don't understand why our models being mintutely different produce a working laptop and another totally bogus laptop. Any help is much appreciated!!!!

Guide to enable QE/CI on Dell Studio 1555 with Mob 4570

I could not even see the boot file in my partition. I ended up having to re-install and then I saw it lol. Also, sounds a bit odd. What do you mean by saying this ? Copy com.apple.boot.plist and Smbios.plist from archive to /Extra folder ?please clarify your steps... a little clarification goes a long way.

Snow Leopard on Dell Studio 1555

Which ones are "first 2 AHCI patch" ? Which ones are "in patches, select the 2 AHCI patch" ? Which 2 folders are you talking about in "Copy both the folders onto your desktop, using Kext helper, install the ethernet kext present in 1555OSX folder" - Do you mean drag and drop .kext files to Kext helper ? Which folders contain "Sound and Chip kext" ? How to set permissions in "Using OSX Tools" ? What exactly are you trying to say in this "then using open com.apple.boot.plist in the folder and from the /Extras" ??? please clarify what you mean. "Copy all the siblings present in /Extras/com.apple.boot.plist to the .plist present in the Dell 1555 folder [you need to open both plist to do this]" - Do you mean drag and drop or what ? How ? After saving I get an error - "once you are done save the plists" Can you please explain the steps for this. It is too vague: "open terminal, become root and do ‘cd /‘ ⁃ remove boot folder present there using ‘rm’ ⁃ copy the boot folder from dell 1555 to ‘/‘ using cp ‘path to the file’ ‘SPACE’ ‘/‘ ⁃ open DSDT GUI and make dsdt, hpet and force compile"

What is the "/" directory ? Do you mean the partition I have mac installed on ? My mac partition is called "mac" it's this gray hard disk looking thing on my desktop. I cannot paste my boot file. The error msg that came up said "The item "boot" can't be replaced because it's invisible"
