  1. Yes. But even after that it still crashes when ever i watch videos or listen to music. I know it isn't my hardware not being good enough. I have a quad core and 8 gigs of ram so it's not like it's running out of memory.
  2. Alright I've installed 10.6.8 and the kernel and I still get crashes. I've narrowed it down. It almost always happens when watching youtube videos. or anything using flashplayer.
  3. Do you know where i can find this kernel?
  4. 10.6.8 AMD Video issues

Is it just that video or is it in all videos? If in all then it's probably a corrupt driver or your gpu is dying.
  5. I have a 64-bit Amd phenom II x4 b93 cpu, 8GB of DDR3 ram, Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P and an NVIDIA GeForce 210. I've gotten everything to be working like Audio, network, gpu. Now the only problem is whenever I'm on my SL Harddrive It will randomly crash. It happens more frequently when I'm watching a video or something. What happens is, the screen flashes for a little then everything stops. Usually audio will keep playing and I can still move my mouse around but I cant click or do anything. When it happens I usually reboot and get back in then usually after the reboot it will happen again 5-10minutes after. Sometimes I can go for hours without a problem. But then somtimes it happens within the first 20 minutes. Any ideas on how to fix this?
  6. If your motherboard doesn't have AHCI then it probably isn't supported. Although, You could try opening up your computer unplug the sata cable and when you get to the bootloader plug it in. That worked for me a when i got this error.
  7. [TUT]How to use iPhone as a wifi adapter!

Well it's like this as you probably know macs don't come pre-equipped with the drivers to recognize most wifi adapters whether it be usb or a internal card. What this does is instead of going out and buying a new wifi card for your computer it lets you use your iphone as a external wifi card so any wifi connection that you are connected to through your iphone will be tethered to your hackintosh allowing you to in turn connect to the internet using the connection your iphone is getting.
  8. I have only tested this on Snow Leopard 10.6.7 and 10.6.2. If you got it to work on other versions feel free to post verifying which version it is and I will add them to the compatible list. Compatible versions: Leopard: Unknown Snow leopard: 10.6.3,10.6.7 Lion: Unknown Mountain Lion: Unkown What you will need A jailbroken iPhone 4,4s with wifi capabilities A wifi connection. Usb sync cable for iphone. Usb drive with atleast 256mb of free space. Latest version of iTunes. So to start off you need to go to Cydia on your iphone and download an app called " Pdanet ". After that set your iPhone aside because you won't be needing that for awhile. Next thing to do is download the Pdanet app for mac. To do this go here: http://junefabrics.com/android/mac.php and click " Download " top of the page. Now take the newly downloaded .pkg file and put it onto your flash drive. Once that is on your flash drive you're gonna need to download the latest version of iTunes, Now depending if you are reading this on a windows pc you may know that you don't normally have the option to download itunes for mac so to do this you need to go here: https://swdlp.apple....=N&showMac=true But once that's done downloading drag that into your flash drive as well. Once all things are downloaded you're flash drive should look something like this. Now we switch over to our Mac OS X install. Once on mac you need to plug in your iPhone and run the PDAnet app and make sure the settings look like this. After that set your iphone aside and open up your usb drive folder and run the Pdanet.pkg file and install that to applications. If your computer doesn't recognize that your iphone is connected when you plug it in you need to Add this code to your com.apple.Boot.plist in Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration <key>USBBusFix</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>EHCIacquire</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>UHCIreset</key> <string>Yes</string> After adding that code you need to install iTunes. If all goes well when itunes is installed you will see your iPhone as a connected device. Now all you have to do is run pdanet on your mac and then click the icon that appears on the menubar and click connect. If you get a popup asking you to apply changes to network settings click apply and it should connect to the internet. In system preferences it will show up as an ethernet device because mac doesn't usually have wifi adapters. If this helped please like! Thanks for reading ~Blud1337
  9. I'm glad you got it working, If you still need help pm me and I'll try my best to fix what ever it is you need fixed.
  10. Well, if you have a jailbroken iphone you can use an app called PDA net to connect to wifi. That was the only way that worked for me. Hope i helped
  11. A couple questions. How much RAM do you have. What processor are you using? Phenom II x2, x4, x6? Or a different one. In the mean time try typing this in at boot. arch=i386 -force64 If you have more then 4gb of ram type maxmem=4096
  12. Wifi on SL 10.6.7

I actually found an alternative way of getting wifi. After some research and trial and error I realized I had an iphone and I remembered seeing an app on cydia for usb tethering so I looked it up and found something called pda net. So i downloaded it onto my iphone and downloaded the mac client onto a flashdrive with my laptop and i installed it and followed instructions and it works great. it shows up as an ethernet connection via system preferences.
  13. Leopard on Compaq Presario cq57?

I also have this laptop and from my experience it cannot run any sort of OS X I either get a kernel panic or it just doesn't boot at all.
  14. Wifi on SL 10.6.7

Recently I installed Snowleopard 10.6.7 on my AMD hackintosh. After all was said and done. I finally got to log in. The only probelm is. Most of the programs don't open which I think might be due to my CPU being 64-bit and that I can't get wifi. The main reason for not being able to get wifi is to my understanding drivers. I have a linksys compat-g wireless adapter WUSB54GC adapter. And I did some searching and I found some drivers from a website but the links were dead. I also tried on a belkin adapter and that didn't work either. Do any of you have a driver for the Linksys adapter? Thanks much appreciated
