    iAtkos L2 weird bootup

iAtkos L2 works flawlessly. But, when it's booting (showing the apple logo) there's no spinning circle at the bottom. Is this normal? Is there anyway to make it appear? It just passes the time to watch it spin.. An image of what I'm referring to -- http://www.pajbam.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/mac_os_x_boot_screen.jpg

    Bargain Build, £9k , . . Compatibility?

It's all compatible Just make sure to get the correct Kext for the motherboards Audio/Ethernet. CPU shouldn't have issues. When installing, make sure to only have 4GB of ram or less, or it may cause issues. The Radeon GPU may be a problem, but you can manually add that to your system information via OSX86Tools. If the first boot hangs at the Apple logo, boot into safe mode by typing -x after highlighting the correct hard drive.

New Install, need help getting 8500GT working

Edit: ML doesn't support the 8500GT. Use 10.7 instead. Boot up Lion, if you can't boot up normally, type "-x" when you're selecting your partition in the bootloader. Open OSX86Tools Click "Add EFI Strings/Boot Flag" The Boot editor window opens. Click "GFX Strings" at the top Scroll to the bottom of the list, and click "Custom GeForce" Choose your graphics cards VRAM (In my case it would be 512MB for the 9600 GT) Choose your video outputs (In my case the 9600 GT has two DVI's) Now at the bottom, a code should be there, right click and copy the long code Open your Boot.plist inside your Extras folder Under GraphicsMode type <key>device-properties</key> <string> Paste Code Here </string> Restart Lion and you should be able to change your resolution, use Launchpad properly, and enjoy Lion's graphics.
  4. When I plug it in, it flashes green (transferring data) but then it'll turn solid orange (no data transfer). How do I get ethernet to work? My PC is a Dell Inspiron 530. Update: Fixed the problem. Fully working now
  5. Is there any fix/kext that I can use with this wifi adapter?

How to Install Mac on G580\i7\6gb\750gb\nv630?

Download and burn iAtkos L2 to a DVD using Transmac, reboot, open up bios configuration and enable Virtualization technology. Save. Boot into the burnt DVD and wait for it to load the installation. Go to disk utility and erase/format hard drive to Journaled format, before installing click customize at the bottom left and select your kexts. Read through all of them and pick the ones that best match your hardware.
  7. Just wanted to let everyone know about the hardware I used. Strange startup - several boots needed?

Clear your Kernel cache. Sounds like there's some confliction going on.
  9. I can boot into Safe Mode perfectly, but my graphics card isn't recognized. I installed the NVEnabler kext for my EVGA 9600GT SC. Whenever I boot normally, it'll go to a white screen for about 5 seconds, then go to the iAtkos L2 screen, just without the logo, and it just hangs there. When I press my power button, it just turns off the screen, so I have to hold down the power button to turn it off to restart the booting process. Any ideas on what I can do? I do not recieve any kernel panics/errors in -v mode. Thanks a bunch! Update: Completely fixed all of my issues. Here's the steps I took to get rid of this error Download OSX86Tools, put it onto a USB drive.
  10. I burned iAtkos L2 to a DVD. It booted up and installed correcly. On the first boot after installation, it just hangs at the Apple Logo. After a few hours of looking for fixes, I got stuck on "Still waiting for Root Device". I cannot get past it. Is there any fix? Specifications: Dell Inspiron 530 Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.4GHz) (4MB L2 Cache, SSE 1, 2, 3) G31/33 Chipset Pheonix motherboard (Dell 0RY007) 3GB DDR2 Ram (Two sticks are 400MHz, PC2-6400, one stick is 330MHz, PC2-5300) Nvidia EVGA GeForce 9600GT (Superclocked) 512MB DDR3 Memory Hitachi 250GB HDD
  11. Read everything I could find. Yet no guide really tells you how to burn an OSX86 distro to a DVD. I went to the store a few minutes ago and picked up Memorex Printable DVD+R (4.7GB), 16X writing speed. How do I go about burning Hazard's distro onto a DVD? I have access to a external hard drive, and VirtualBox. I tested this distro using VirtualBox, and it works 100%. Thanks a bunch
  12. I can mount my spare HDD inside Snow Leopard (Hazard Build) via Virtualbox. I can format it to Journaled. Is it possible to run the Snow Leopard installation setup through Virtualbox and install the Snow Leopard build onto my spare HDD? I do not have a Snow Leopard DVD, or have the money to buy one.

    Is it possible?

I have a Dell Inspiron 530, 3GB Ram, Core 2 Duo E6600, eVGA GeForce 9600GT SC. I successfully installed Hazard's build of Snow Leopard onto Virtualbox. I do not have a retail DVD of Mac OS X, nor any blank DVDs to burn. How do I go about installing this build on my spare hard drive? The only thing I have to work with is an 8GB Sandisk usb drive, which really only reads 7.48GB. Any help would be appreciated. I can get the USB drive to read through virtualbox, and am able to re-partition it to Journaled. I just don't know how to get it onto the usb drive and make it bootable.
  14. Hello. I was wondering if my machine is at all capable of running OSX. I looked at the instructions line in CPU-Z and it says I'm capable of running SSE 1, 2 and 3. - System specifications - Intel Celeron 450 CPU (Single core) 2GB DDR2-PC2 6400 SDRAM nVidia GeForce 7800GT GPU (MSI) Currently running WIndows 7, and Ubuntu on a seperate drive (which I will dedicate to OSX if possible) If you need anymore information just ask!
