  1. Intel HD3000 glitches & freezes

Thanks for the tip. Looks like they don't make that anymore. I was looking for a fanless card anyway.
  2. I get occasional graphic glitches with the HD3000. Looks like blue horizontal lines in random places across a window. Quitting and restarting an app usually fixes it. Sometimes it takes out the entire machine though. I can ssh in from my laptop, but the Hack itself is useless. Is there a software fix I can try? If not, can someone recommend a decent fanless graphic card? Silence is more important to me than graphics power - I'm not a gamer, I'm a musician. That said, if I were to get a card, it would be nice to get one that could support a duallink DVI 2560x1440 27" monitor.
  3. GA-Z68XP-UD3 - onboard video?

I ordered the i7 2600K, which has the HD 3000 according to the spec sheet. So I should be good to go! Awesome news, thanks.
  4. GA-Z68XP-UD3 - onboard video?

Hello! I am a total newbie to the world of osx86, but I'm no stranger to building PCs, or using Mac OS. My current setup at home is an aging AMD dual core WinXP box that I built myself, and an i7 MacBook Pro. I've just ordered the parts to upgrade my old XP box into an i7 hackintosh. Very excited! I chose the Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3 motherboard as it seems to be well-suited. I would like to know if the onboard video works for Lion. I have a Radeon HD4830 video card in my old PC and I can repurpose that, but I'm not planning on playing games, so if the onboard video works well enough then I'd rather just go with that and not deal with the fan noise/power use.
