  1. Greetings everyone! My first post on InsanelyMac (I think?) Some background story; A couple of weeks ago I discovered my macbook air had been destroyed by swollen up batteries, after having been sitting on my desk unplugged & unused for well over two weeks (trackpad popped out, bent unibody, etc) - Apple refuses to provide support via e-mail, and there are no local apple stores. Since I don't want to deal with this over the phone, I'm stuck with a broken macbook... The thing is, I have some theatrical shows to run sound for (In a few months) and for that I need to run an app called qlab. There are no Windows alternatives that will satisfy my needs thus I thought I'd do a hackintosh. I've been wanting to experiment with it for quite some time too Keep in mind that I -cannot- use my MacBook to download the OS. I do have the USB stick with Snow Leopard that came with it but I doubt it's of much use. I tried following this guide but had no success. I managed to get into the -normally hidden- advanced settings on my laptop's bios and adjust what was necessary, I got it to boot into Clover, but right after showing "++++++++++" (third line) the laptop would restart and get me back to clover. I tried the USB stick on my Desktop as well (though I didn't really mess with the Bios), same results. What could I be doing wrong? Is there any other -easy- guide I could follow? Doesn't have to be for Sierra, just something that would work. My laptop is an HP 15-ac103nv, with an i3 5005U CPU and a Radeon R5 M330 GPU. Thanks in advance! EDIT: Maybe something like this will work? Looks similar to my device: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/310408-success-hackintosh-os-x-el-capitan-10114-beta-build-15e27e-at-hp-pavilion-15-ac169tx/There's some stuff I don't really understand but I guess I could give it a try...
