  1. Broadcom BCM5787M/BCM5784M - A solution

It seems to me that this is too much fiddling to get it working. I use the kext from Rubydream in another thread about the broadcom card. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=903347 This works right away, no installing extra scripts to get it to work for the same BCM5787M 14e4:1693 card. Also claiming you can have the MAC address but only by hardcoding it in the driver. I would like to see a driver reading the MAC from the card.
  2. Broadcom 570x and 575x

I tried your kext RobyDream and i can report that it works for me. MAC address is still all zeros but networking works, and does not seem to freeze. It does freeze if i try to do a ifconfig en0 ether 00:1C:xx:xx:xx:xx My card is a 5787M (id 1693) Thanks
  3. CardBus/PCMCIA PC Cards for Leopard

Chun Nan, I tried the beta 3 package and this gets rid of the KP but now the microdrive doesn't show on the desktop anymore. It gives its name still in the PCMCIA icon on top right. Greyed out (but that was the same on 10.5.2 with rev8) and an option to power off the card. (also the same on 10.5.2 with rev8) The card doesn't show up in system profiler also with it did on 10.5.2 How can i get the card recognised by the system? It worked fine before. If you need logs or ioregtree logs please direct me how to create them. Then I wil post them. Hope you can help.
  4. CardBus/PCMCIA PC Cards for Leopard

Chun Nan, I had my PCMCIA with IBM microdrive working on kalyway 10.5.2 with your Rev 8 installer. After updating to 10.5.3 witth the Kalyway combo updater my system is working, but the pcmcia doesn't anymore. After reapplying the rev8 version and repairing permissions I get a kp at bootup. sorry no pics. Could only boot via dvd and restore from there the original kexts, so PCMCIA not working anymore. Is there a version already for Leopard 10.5.3 ??
  5. Please Help! LAN Broadcom BCM5787

Nobb1x, If you set the timeout on boot you can type in debug=0x100 at the bootoptions prompt. Now when the driver crashes you get the KP printed over your desktop. It gives some info on a Page fault and with me it always seems to happen at offset 0x74F8 in de driver. Hope this helps.
  6. Leopard Laptops with NON-working GMA X3100

You could try the following which worked for me. Remove all the AppleIntelGMA* files from extensions, also remove Natit and NVDA files. Get the graphics update from Apple and install this. After installing again remove the AppleIntelGMA950 files but leave the X3100 files. No need for Natit or anthing else. After reboot though you sometimes may get a completely white screen and that's it. If this happens reboot again and for me it then boots fine, CI/QE resolution change, external / internal screen all work. Hope this helps you.
  7. My findings about ad1981hd on hp

He guys that installer (v2) did the trick for me. Thankx
  8. Please Help! LAN Broadcom BCM5787

It seems a problem with Leo4All release. I could only reinstall to get keyboard working again. But if I make modifcations involving kexts I get the same non responsive keyboard. Posted this in the Leo4all thread. Manuall loading the kext works. I get a IP address though the mac adress is al zeros. After reboot i got no keyboard again.
  9. Nice one Eddie. Install goes fine everytime on my laptop (see sig) I got problems though, because whenever I try to fix some of the not working hardware beeing it PCMCIA, Audio or LAN (did not try graphics yet) and extra or modified kext are installed. Then after the reboot I have no more Keyboard functioning.(internal since i have no USB keyboard) USB mouse works, but internal keyboard stops responding. While booting I see an error about ACPIPS2Nub and class I can only reinstall since i can't even type while booting -s or -x When it is working after install i got 2 versions of ACPIPS2Nub.kext and one AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext could this be the problem? I never had this before (Kalyway 10.5.1), help please
  10. Please Help! LAN Broadcom BCM5787

I tried this, but after following the guide and reboot, it seems to recognise the card because it showed it in the network configure list. I found the following side effect: MY LAPTOP KEYBOARD STOPPED RESPONDING ??? So i could not find out more if the card is actually working, because I can't type anything now. No USB keyboard at hand. Even in -s mode i can't type now :censored2: Managed to remove the kext via DVD boot. Anyone any idea how to solve this so I can test the card.
