    [HELP REQUEST] MSI PR600

So; it took me longer than I'd have liked to to get around to this, but here's my lspci output; any help on getting a retail install working? cactusjack901$ lspci pcilib: 0000:00:02.0 64-bit device address ignored. 00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation Mobile PM965/GM965/GL960 Memory Controller Hub (rev 03) 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03) 00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03) 00:1a.0 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) USB UHCI Controller #4 (rev 03) 00:1a.1 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) USB UHCI Controller #5 (rev 03) 00:1a.7 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) USB2 EHCI Controller #2 (rev 03) 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 03) 00:1c.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) PCI Express Port 1 (rev 03) 00:1c.1 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) PCI Express Port 2 (rev 03) 00:1d.0 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) USB UHCI Controller #1 (rev 03) 00:1d.1 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) USB UHCI Controller #2 (rev 03) 00:1d.2 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) USB UHCI Controller #3 (rev 03) 00:1d.7 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) USB2 EHCI Controller #1 (rev 03) 00:1e.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 82801 Mobile PCI Bridge (rev f3) 00:1f.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corporation 82801HEM (ICH8M) LPC Interface Controller (rev 03) 00:1f.1 IDE interface: Intel Corporation 82801HBM/HEM (ICH8M/ICH8M-E) IDE Controller (rev 03) 00:1f.2 SATA controller: Intel Corporation 82801HBM/HEM (ICH8M/ICH8M-E) SATA AHCI Controller (rev 03) 00:1f.3 SMBus: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) SMBus Controller (rev 03) 01:04.0 CardBus bridge: O2 Micro, Inc. Disable Microphone VoodooHDA

Tried it, no dice. Every solution I've come across to fix the sound loop issue isn't working; hence why I want to just flat out disable the mic at this point.

    Disable Microphone VoodooHDA

So, I'm running iATKOS L2 (Not that I really want to, it just happens to be the easiest way I've found of getting OS X up and running on this machine), and for sound, I have to rely on VoodooHDA. Unfortunately, I get a feedback loop if I don't set my VoodooHDA settings just right, and even then I still get a sound loop between the mic and the speakers. Simply put, I just wanna disable the mic. I don't need it, I don't want it, I just want speakers. My current solution is plugging a "silencer" into the mic jack, so that way it always thinks there's an external mic connected, but that's a temporary, half-assed solution. Any ideas?

    [HELP REQUEST] MSI PR600

Well, I'm making a snow leopard SD card via MyHack right now, so if I can't get that running without a headache, I'll go ahead and run lspci through that, and post the output here, sound good?

    [HELP REQUEST] MSI PR600

So, a few months ago, I purchased an MSI MS-16372, which according to everything I can find, is actually the MSI PR600. I don't have a Linux disc/USB on hand to use to run lspci at the moment, BUT I know that I can run Lion on here, at least with the help of iATKOS (which I ultimately removed because of sound issues, and let's face it, do YOU want iATKOS on your machine?), and it should theoretically be possible to get Mountain Lion running, albeit a pain in the ass (Thanks Intel X3100). I'm just wondering if anybody else has any hackintoshing experience with this machine. If not, would anybody be willing to help me figure out what I need? The last two machines I got, I had no issue installing Snow Leopard on, but this one is being a bit of a pain in the ass.

    1005HA/HAB Lion (10.7) Guide-Marugby is back!

Any progress? I still haven't gotten to play much with Lion, as both of my computers are 32-bit (yeah, I'm way behind, I know)

If they ask, tell them you're just better than them, and they can {censored} off.

Dell 1545 Snow Leopard Retail/boot132 Install

Any updates on QE/CI? I'd like to convert a friend of mine to the Cult of Mac, but I don't wanna half-ass it and leave her unable to do many things (and such simple things like watching videos).

    Dell Optiplex GX520

Just wanted to update, major delay, external HDD case died, lost 2 TB of data as a result. Drive is fine, now using it as internal, starting from scratch. (This will actually help in the long run methinks)

Just wanted to drop a line in here and let everybody know I'm working on a new guide, that will allow you to install retail. When I first obtained this computer, I looked for an OS X guide, due to being fairly new to the Hackintosh game (outside of Netbooks, anyway), and found this guide, and didn't care for it's install method. I'm now sitting on 10.6.8 and am writing a new guide to install from a USB stick with a retail image on it, and I'll have all the latest patches and updates that have been posted in the thread in one neat package. Only setback I've had, is I can't get the stock kernel to work, but it's not like that stops me from running OS X, so look for it in the next few weeks. No, 10.7 requires a 64-bit processor which you do not have ALSO: Sorry for the double post

    LION + SNOW 10.6.7 + WIN 7 on eeePc 1005HA

I've been thinking about it, but I'm not 100% sure on the general process of this, I'm not familiar with the Lion install process. EDIT: you know what, I'm not gonna sleep tonight anyway, because I'm re-installing OS X might as well figure it out

Asus 1005hab (works for 1005ha) Snow Leopard Install Guide

From what I understand the hardware in the 1000HA and 1005HA is almost identical, your guide should work fine, with only minor tweaks here and there, if any.

I'd just like to say, I'm sorry if you feel I was badgering you about it. I'm just really excited, and curious as to how this is possible, and I'm offering my services for any testing or help you may need.

Asus 1005hab (works for 1005ha) Snow Leopard Install Guide

Hey, would anybody here know how I would go about making an install disc, similar to iATKOS, but with my existing S/L/E, as well as DSDT.aml for my own purposes? I would just like to make my life a bit easier, and create an installer for my computer specifically. I'd figure just modify the S/L/E and OSInstall.mpkg, but I'm not sure if it's just that simple, any input would be appreciated, thanks.

So you have it up and running? How'd you get around the 64-bit finder? Use a finder from the DP of Lion?
