  2. Hi, no problem @blackosx. How are you? This reminds me about Chamelia (Chameleon theme originally created by you) that I did make port to Clover. #LMAO I don't even remember when was last time I logging in this forum #LOL. I'm not hackintosh user anymore. Under GPL (are Clover & it's resources licenced under GPL?), yup.. I think it's important giving credit to the original author; just bcoz I'm responsible to my works. That is. Anyway, now I GIVE PERMISSION to all of YOU for porting my Clover Themes to Open Canopy. But, plz don't forget mentioning the credit for not againsts GPL Spirit (I hope, it doesn't mean killing your creativity). Though, there're bunch of OC themes which much better than mine from @chris1111 etc. Thanks and have a nice day, everyone.

  6. Personally before starting from a clean EFI I'd reset the bios first then apply the correct bios settings then start doing the hackintosh magic. Gigabyte boards are not exactly known for their stable bioses and the fact that the Aorus splash screen is being displayed incorrectly makes me think something hanky is going on in the bios. Therefore I'd try & start with a totally clean slate on the latest bios.

  8. Hey @Badruzeus I'm good thanks and hope all is well with you. Thanks for stopping by and giving your permission. I wouldn't have thought many people would port your themes verbatim, though I could be wrong, but they may well choose to take elements from them. Either way, it's good to know you're happy with that providing they give credit. Yes, @chris1111 has been working hard to create his themes and I can see his skills are improving as time goes on. You never know, I may well decide to create one or two complete themes myself rather than just concentrate on creating sets of icons. Anyway, take care buddy and stay safe.

Note - If your not using a 5700 XT or any other Navi GPU then remove agdpmod=pikera from the boot arguments. Note 2 - Do not try to carry across your old OpenCore Config.plist to the new EFI as to many changes have occurred in 0.6.0. Use the new Config.plist instead. For OpenCore Using PlistEdit Pro add your details by modifying the following PLEASE NOTE - These EFIs are setup to be used with your msr Unlocked so make sure you use the correct bios settings listed below or use the F11L Unlocked Profile I have provided. 13. @MikeSantos Layout 4 should work with subsystem-id "0xa036". Are you sure that you use the right connectors? The speaker symbol on the back panel is confusing, it's the headphone jack. If it's properly connected, also try it after sleep, CodecCommander should restore the values. If it still doesn't work, copy hda-verb to /usr/local/bin run the script and show me the output. hda-verb.zip R3Di_params.sh.zip

  15. Hi - Same board, same cpu, same amount of memory, maybe try my EFI Folder on a test USB Drive to see if the glitch is removed. I use iMacPro1,1 (2017) to enable DRM for Apple TV+ and Netflix. I have removed my personal data from the config.plist if it works out for you, you'll have to furnish with your own. Good luck. EFI.zip

  17. 20210306 * Optimized the edit box inside the data table. 1. Correct cursor behavior when editing 2. Use the Enter key to confirm the edit, then there will be a green check mark on the right side 3. Undo and redo using the block method instead of a single character * New: All Label and Checkbox support copying text via right-click menu (easy to help others solve problems on OC) * Other optimization

  20. There is a restriction rule in place, new members can only post to Threads after so many post. A Mod will see your query and explain better than my effort, in saying that welcome to IM.

  21. i like it because it reminds me of something similar I tried many years ago for a Chameleon theme. I had a quick look for it yesterday at the Theme Park on voodooprojects.org to show you but couldn’t find it. I guess it never progressed further than my ideas folder but I’m curious now so I may have a look through some old archives on the weekend. If I find anything I’ll share an image.

  23. Windows behaviour for me is same as macOS. So it's probably GPU specific. I have Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580. I got the Menue App from Tm's site here.

  24. Right on; my mention that I was on 19,1 must have gotten lost in the sheer volume of all that I had said about it. I'll consider how important the DRM is for me vs. generating new SN/MLB/UUID for 1,1 & re-registering paid apps. I had suspected it was a 1,1 vs 19,1 issue where unfairgva might work only with the former, thanks for confirming. Off to use my rig as currently configured for other stuff. Thanks again! UPDATE later that day: I bit the bullet & made the switch, and with the unfairgva=1 boot arg, your 1,1 EFI is working just fine for Netflix in Safari & TV in its own app. Thanks! UPDATE that weekend: I've moved back for now to SMBIOS 19,1, because anecdoctally (not rigorously tested), it seemed like turning the iGPU off and running absolutely everything destined for the screen through the dGPU was bringing up my power usage a little bit, Both sleep & Night Shift in ongoing testing were proving a bit more finicky under SMBIOS 1,1, than the reliability they have shown over the past few 19,1 AG EFIs. Not impossible to achieve automatically, just hard to predict under what conditions they might not work & have to be invoked manually, and Probably not on a personal mission to irk afficianados of The Hack, but rather to move the product stack further along toward their own silicon, the fruit company stopped selling any but "while supplies last" of the base model SMBIOS 1,1's today. I had already been a bit iffy about having a completely different generation/class of processor (Coffee Lake S) than what SMBIOS 1,1 said it had (HEDT Skylake); today's product announcement just pushed me back over toward what had been working well & more accurately emulates a "later model" (the 2019 19,1, rather than the 2017 1,1; that hopefully enjoys software support, in the form of putting anything out for it, for longer). Luckily, if you too are on SMBIOS 19,1, the "DRM Compatibility on macOS 11" heading near the bottom of this page https://github.com/acidanthera/WhateverGreen/blob/master/Manual/FAQ.Chart.md has defaults you can write that, as long as you've got unfairgva=1 in your boot args, show all the video I've tried in the TV app. Unlike the full support of DRM from the 1,1 SMBIOS, you can't play all music videos in the Music app. I haven't tried Netflix through Safari, because I'm fine with it through Firefox. Be aware though, writing & (if you decide to backstep from them) deleting defaults is a serious business & is outside the "Vanilla" Hack philosophy of prepping your machine in the EFI to function as much as possible like a real one of the target machines, without any other tweaks to the main OS or data parts of the drive's file system. Not only could it be considered bad form, but it could also mess up your other defaults if not done very carefully. Any editing of defaults you do is at your own risk. Upon completion of the above testing, I myself have put all my defaults back to what the system wrote for itself, meaning I've removed (very carefully, only) those defaults suggested by the page linked above. If I have a later need to watch a video on my rig, it's a lot quicker (as long as I am, again, very careful) to update the defaults to get them to play, than it is to switch back to SMBIOS 1,1. In the meantime, Vanilla.

  25. 100% agree with you B hence the reason I am quite happy to stay with Pro1.1 where everything just works but you know how it is - You get an itch that you just need to scratch and before you know it, you're looking around for a band-aid because you didn't know when to stop scratching.

  29. Posting this just in case there's still one other Kabylake owner who doesn't know that wake has not been solved for iGPU-only HD630 systems: I won't say that wake with iGPU-only HD630 is impossible (although I'd say it in a heartbeat if that motivates someone to prove me wrong ), but my search as a fairly new Kabylake owner has come up short. My HP EliteDesk 800 G3 Mini with i7-7700T, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe SSD and 2TB SATA6 HD now makes a nice Windows Server. If you're tempted by the HP EliteDesk Series (like this one), stay with G4 and newer.

  30. Thanks for the ping. This is exactly what I was discussing, yes. I investigated the NVRAM issue and discovered that msu-product-url was the key to failed Big Sur update and install on systems with broken NVRAM. I wrote a little script that enables fresh Big Sur install by getting the necessary APFS UUID out of OpenCore debug logs. Then I was working on a Python script to enable both install and upgrade - the latter by getting the info from diskutil, then writing it directly to OpenCore config under NVRAM -> ADD -> 7C436110-AB2A-4BBB-A880-FE41995C9F82. But other things have got in the way so I'm not yet done with the script. Using OpenCore's NVRAM -> ADD means OpenCore sets the NVRAM variable, and therefore enabling Legacy NVRAM and LogoutHook are not necessary. But enabling Legacy NVRAM is probably desirable on such systems, so @pac-man 's solution works well as well. Be aware though that legacy NVRAM won't work for a new Big Sur install, only for upgrades. During stage 1 of a fresh install, the installer will adjust the target drive's APFS volumes, and the required UUID is generated during that process. This is why my preliminary script gets the necessary UUID out of OpenCore log files, once the user has rebooted at the end of stage 1 and before they proceed into stage 2 (the part that fails if msu-product-url is not correctly set in NVRAM.) I don't know about pac-man, but I confirmed the variable as a result of a couple of days of testing on a system with working NVRAM, in which I simulated non-working NVRAM by resetting NVRAM on every boot from the OpenCore boot picker. A large number of NVRAM variables are added at the end of stage 1 of a Big Sur upgrade or install After a process of elimination, I narrowed it down to that one variable as the one required to get the upgrade/install to continue successfully. Maybe pac-man saw my research on the other forum, or quite possibly discovered it independently.

  31. Hello, everyone, I made a simple online edit openCore config.plist tool Use the address https://github.com/xieguozhong/opencoreConfiguratorOnline Support for OpenCore-0.6.3-RELEASE How to use: 1 Back up your config.plist 2 Open the https://xieguozhong.github.io/opencoreConfiguratorOnline/ with Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Opera 3 points in the upper right corner of the Open button select your config.plist file, or you can create your config.plist directly from scratch without opening any files 4 Double-click on the row in the table for data modification, after the modification is completed press enter key to submit the modification, other input box direct modification can be, the lower right corner of the table can be copied, pasted, add edgy, add row, delete the row operation 5 point Down button download the modified file, then copy to eFI to cover the original file, or click the Copy button, copy the content spally to the clipboard, open the config.plist file under EFI with a text editor, and paste it in to save If you find a bug, please tell me, follow or send my mailbox 295799583@qq.com, thank you

  32. I decided to dump a friend of mine's iMac's firmware. I used phoenix tools to extract all the modules uncompressed. The result is thus also all .ffs (.mod) files. I generated a firmware map report using mmtools for Aptio. Both are capable of extracting and modding Apple's firmware files. Hopefully somebody will be able to put these modules to good use Enjoy... EDIT: For the Info - Apple seems to use Tiano style EFI BIOS... EDIT2: I borrowed a friends MacBookPro5,3 and did the same to it... now we also have the same dump of a MacBook Pro EDIT3: Got my hands on a rom of a MacBookPro8,1, did the same. Also have one for MacBookPro8,2 but that is for tomorrow... iMac11,1_BIOS_Dump.zip MacBookPro5,3_BIOS_Dump.zip MacBookPro8,1_BIOS_Dump.zip
