  4. Rev 5119 commit cd2318129, 60901993b Now OcQuirks.plist excluded because it embedded to config.plist as section "Quirks". See config-sample.plist. Moreover there is a menu to tune the set of quirks from Clover GUI

  5. Disable authenticated root SIP by setting csr-active-config to 77080000 in OC's config.plist, then reset NVRAM through the OC boot menu. Alternatively, with blank csr-active-config setting, boot to Recovery/Big Sur Installer and run csrutil disable, then csrutil authenticated-root disable in terminal Need to also disable APFS snapshots. I posted a guide several pages ago on how to do this and also replace/installing old kexts. Good Luck!

  9. Finally, my i3-2100 legacy BIOS with GT640 works fine on Big Sur now. I use VMware method to install Big Sur beta 2. After installed, boot to Big Sur system fine with OC 0.6.0 and Clover (someone's CLOVERX64.efi) ---- It's unknow issue....still. Stage 2 still get reboot after Apple logo if install directly with OC 0.6.0. 18. Just wanted to say thanks for the Opencore setup. I thought i would spend hours being frustrated as i read multi booting can be a pain. However i am shocked at how easy it was first of all to switch from clover to opencore (i only got a re-sign in error guess cos i never had a MLB key in clover so did not set one in OC) however sign in and all syncing fine. Was then surprised to see the retro gaming Windows setup appear in boot options with no fiddling (separate NVME drive). Main Windows was missing, but just copied the microsoft folder from efi backup to main OC efi, rebooted and boom now have 2 windows installs showing. The holy grail for me which for some reason i kept borking on Clover was getting linux to show. However just installed Ubuntu 20 to a separate SSD and after realising i kept plugging the ssd in Sata 4 or 5 which wont show once you reconnec 2 NVME drives in (0-3 only) Opencore immediately showed all 4 OS. yes it shows it as no name instead of Ubuntu but im not worried about Cosmetics. So i must firstly thank you guys for the smoothest of setups both originally on Clover but especially on OpenCore, however i must alas berate you at the same time, as i was all geared up to be in a stressed mode this afternoon, ready to have a serious gym work out by throwing my build around the room until it decided it was best to just start working, you took that from me by doing such a bloody good job, so instead i now have to play rage against the machine extremely loud and find something else to rage about.

  19. This project is dedicated to Lucy, my lovely little Tyrannofelis Rex. LucyRTL8125Ethernet is an open source driver for the Realtek RTL8125 family of 2.5GBit Ethernet controllers. Key Features of the Driver Supports all versions of Realtek's RTL8125 2.5GBit Ethernet Controllers found on recent boards. Support for multisegment packets relieving the network stack of unnecessary copy operations when assembling packets for transmission. No-copy receive and transmit. Only small packets are copied on reception because creating a copy is more efficient than allocating a new buffer. TCP, UDP and IPv4 checksum offload (receive and transmit). TCP segmentation offload over IPv4 and IPv6. Support for TCP/IPv4, UDP/IPv4, TCP/IPv6 and UDP/IPv6 checksum offload. Supports jumbo frames up to 9000 bytes (strongly recommended for 2.5GBit operation). Fully optimized for Mojave and above. Note that older versions of macOS might not support 2.5GB Ethernet. Supports Wake on LAN (untested). Supports VLAN (untested). Support for Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) which can be disabled by setting enableEEE to NO in the drivers Info.plist without rebuild. The default is YES. The driver is published under GPLv2. Current Status The driver has been tested successfully under Catalina (10.15.4 and above) and, according to first tests, is working stable. I haven't experienced any Kernel Panics during my tests and is working stable on my primary work machine. The driver has been designed to work with Catalina but might also work with Mojave, provided you build from source with Xcode 10.. Please keep in mind that support for 2.5GBit Ethernet was introduced in Mojave (or maybe High Sierra?) so that there is no way to make it work with Sierra or below. Known Issues Using autoselect medium it seems to prefer negotiating a connection speed of 1Gbit with my switch so that I had to select 2.5GBit/s manually in order to achieve this speed but it might be different with other switches. This problem has been resolved in version 1.1.0. Installation You might want to install the driver to /L/E as usual but it's also ok to use Clover's or OC's injection function (installation in the EFI folder). Use your favorite kext installation tool for installation or perform the installation manually (for Clover or OC injection). It's your call! Help - I'm getting kernel panics! Well, before you start complaining about bugs after you upgraded macOS and ask me to publish a driver update, you should first try to resolve the issue on your own by cleaning the system caches. As the driver uses macOS's private network driver interface, which is supposed to be used by Apple provided drivers only, you might run into problems after an OS update because the linker may fail to recognize that IONetworking.kext has been updated and that the driver needs to be linked against the new version (Apple provided drivers avoid this problem because they are always updated together with IONetworking.kext). As a result, the linking process produces garbage and the driver may call arbitrary code when trying to call functions from IONetworking.kext. This usually results in unpredicted behavior or a kernel panic. In order to recover from such a situation, you should clean the System Caches forcing the linker to recreate it's caches: Delete all the files in /System/Library/Caches and it's subdirectories but leave the directories and the symbolic links intact. This is very important! Reboot. Recreate the kernel cache. Reboot again. Troubleshooting Make sure you have followed the installation instructions especially when you have issues with certain domains while the others are working fine. Use the debug version to collect log data when trying to track down problems. The kernel log messages can be retrieved with "log show --predicate "processID == 0" --debug" in order to retrieve kernel logs. Include the log data when asking for support or giving feedback. I'm an engineer, not a clairvoyant. Don't copy and paste large amounts of log data to your post. Create an archive with the log data and attach it to your post. In case you don't want to make your log data publicly accessible, contact me via PM and I will provide you a mail address to send it directly to me. Delete the following files: /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist In Terminal run netstat -s in order to display network statistics. Carefully examine the data for any unusual activity like a high number of packets with bad IP header checksums, etc. In case auto-configuration of the link layer connection doesn't work it might be necessary to select the medium manually in System Preferences under Network for the interface. Use Wireshark to create a packet dump in order to collect diagnostic information. Keep in mind that there are many manufacturers of network equipment. Although Ethernet is an IEEE standard, different implementations may show different behavior causing incompatibilities. In case you are having trouble try a different switch or a different cable. Changelog Version 1.1.0 (2021-04-29) Changed version number to 1.1.0 to make it an official release. Version 1.1.0d12 (2021-04-25) Updated Linux sources to 9.005.01. Fixed auto-negotiation for all speeds (including 2.5 Gigabit). Added support for adaptive poll interval in 2.5 Gigabit mode. Version 1.0.0 (2020-08-14) Changed version number to make this the first official release. Version 1.0.0d6 (2020-06-14) Fixed chip recognition. Version 1.0.0d3 (2020-04-20) First working development release. Getting the driver Source code can be found on GitHub: https://github.com/Mieze/LucyRTL8125Ethernet You'll find the lastest prebuilt binary in the download section: https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/1004-lucyrtl8125ethernet/

  20. Hi @MorenoAv, Just a few tid bits on dual booting macOS and Windows with OC... 1. Since 0.5.9, OC can automatically detect UEFI Windows loader bootmgfw.efi --> no need for Custom Entry 2. From OC documentation (Configuration.pdf) re OEM Windows activation... "Windows may need to be reactivated. To avoid it consider setting SystemUUID to the original firmware UUID. Be warned, on old firmwares it may be invalid, i.e. not random. In case you still have issues, consider using HWID or KMS38 license or making the use Custom UpdateSMBIOSMode." Personally, I set Kernel/Quirks/CustomSMBIOSGuid to YES and PlatformInfo/UpdateSMBIOSMode to Custom in my OC config.plist ---> avoids Windows OEM activation problem (Windows keeps its original firmware UUID and macOS keeps its own SystemUUID). PS I moved my reply here since I think it would be off topic in the Big Sur beta thread

  22. Try this: Which will copy the PciRoot identifiers for all the recognized partitions, including your Windows/macOS EFI partition. Now back on your other machine, open up the OpenCore config.plist and the maps.txt file we generated in the previous step. In the config.plist, find this entry: \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgfw.efi so that your Path looks this: Now when you boot up OC using this config.plist, you should see the name you've specified in the custom entry and using that, you should be able to boot into your Windows installation. You need put Microsoft folder inside EFI partition too. Mine is for Windows 7...(im believe that you need install Windows # and then are created by it self on installation... <FFFFFFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFFFFFFFFFF> is your UUID. With Clover Configurator you can see this on partitions... Microsoft.zip For exemple:

  47. You need to find out what make it is. Elan, Synaptics or i2c. Then you can troubleshoot. Voodoops2 is a good choice as long as it’s loaded correctly with OpenCore, you could also try ApplePS2SmartTouchpad, google will help find it. What are you doing “snapshots” with? Posting an IOReg and your config.plist (minus serial numbers / rom / mlb) will help too. Mount EFI partition, copy EFI folder to desktop to modify before uploading (do not modify your hard drives config) also debloat your EFI folder, resources etc are not needed for diagnosis.
