  1. FYI: I do not use MA.efi and the only boot argument I have is darkwake=3 (based on @holyfield post) and I may remove that as well since I can't get sleep to work properly on my system no matter what I do. Probably the combination of peripherals and devices, etc, that I use. No matter, sleep is nice but not very necessary for me. EDIT: I should clarify that with darkwake=3, I do get sleep with no issue. I just have a problem with external hard drives not disconnecting properly. I have no shiki values since I don’t care about DRM in my browsers. I am still on Mojave (no plans to update to Catallina) so that is why this may not matter. So far I have a rock solid system (fingers crossed) and everything works great. BUT, to each his own and every system is different for sure. I know the reason I have such a stable system is the hard work of @AudioGod with the support of @MaLd0n and his DSDT, and everyone else associated with getting this board up and running.

  2. If I remember well : - if you don't create a .VolumeLabel.txt, you won't have this message. - if you create a .VolumeLabel.txt on your clover partition, but the first character is #, you won't have this message. So this IS optional, even though I'm convince the next time you'll lost an hour because you didn't realise you were still booting on your internal HDD instead of the USB stick (for example), and you'll spend time trying to understand why your modification are NOT taken, you'll regret not have this message :-). By the way, just reassure me, each time you try a new clover version or a kext modification, you are trying from a different clover than your usual one, right ?

  3. Make sure you are also updating the FwRuntimeService driver and BootX64 module when updating opencore module.

  5. AMW0, for example, just ignored by macOS. Not needed to disable it manually. Tested for nine years by thousands users no issue.

  6. Reset NVRAM and restart computer are two different things. You may press letter "R" for Restart if you want it. But Clear NVRAM doesn't mean you need restart.

  7. https://www.techpowerup.com/263647/apple-finally-buying-amd-cpus-pointers-to-ryzens-found-in-macos-beta "Since its switch to the x86 machine architecture from PowerPC in the mid-2000s, Apple has been consistent with Intel as its sole supplier of CPUs for its Macbooks, iMac desktops, and Mac Pro workstations. The company's relationship with rival AMD has been limited to sourcing discrete GPUs. If pieces of code from a MacOS beta is anything to go buy, Apple could bite the AMD bullet very soon. References to several AMD processors were found in MacOS 10.15.4 Beta 1. These include the company's "Picasso," "Renoir," and "Van Gogh" APUs."

  8. I don't think your bios/firmware loads a partition other than the one you have selected. Unless is the bios to have some problems..

  11. Meh, its no hardship checking 2 places, i read a lot more threads on here so one more is no problem... Id also not be too hard on yourself about working on multiple devices, especially since you no longer have the pro board any more, we should all be happy you're still updating this given the constraints you have right now. I'll look forward to what your going to release next but right now i have a practically perfect system in regards to whats working, nothing i can think of is a problem outside your favourite subject of safari and drm Which i read will be fixed on 10.15.4. Not sure what else needs to be updated here outside of new Opencore's or Clovers... Maybe your fancy DSDT'less EFI would be good to look at EDIT - I don't have much time outside work to help you test but if you need something and i can help if no one else is available, ping me and ill see what i can do !! Cheers

  12. Il update this thread, your not meant to have to check both threads buddy that's totally my bad. It's hard for me to maintain two threads when I no longer use the Z390 Pro myself anymore so I Lean on other people like poor @texem to test out stuff for me but he's bit fed up of doing it for me now days (and who can blame him?) so its slowed me right down on this thread. Now that @larabee has returned and when hes feeling up for it he might help me out again with double checking it all with me. Apologies for the delay but I will get it all sorted out and updated on here ASAP.

  13. Yeah just checked the master thread and you do indeed say reduce to 32M, well that advice seems to work for this board too... iGPU enabled and 32M preallocated works for me. Guess i need to start reading both threads consistently since the info is split between them and could be relevant for either Im not sure what your other issues are relating to this board preventing the release of the new EFI you mentioned. Interesting point on the slide value, i guess i'll not bother any more trying to work out how to get to efishell .. slide=0 and above including messing with the custom slide flags seem not to work on this board in my tests.

  14. The z390 pro is a tricky little board when it comes to having the igpu enabled but most people have it working fine without Ma.efi on here.

  17. You might want to try doing a battery bios reset to fully clear out the NVram and that will kick 19.1 into gear. check the update notes

  18. OK capito, con il CSM disabilitato al momento non ne vuole sapere altra prova, lasciando sempre come uscita video la 570, se abiliti la integrata (iGPU) ti parte o si inchioda al boot con error memory allocation?

  19. Alright, applied all the settings you suggested. EFI.zip Isn't it better to set CsrActiveConfig to 0x3E7 rather than 0x67? About the audio, wireless and ethernet here it is: WLAN = Qualcomm Atheros AR9565 Wireless Adapter Ethernet = Broadcom NetXtreme BCM57786 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter Audio = Haswell-ULT HD Audio Controller / HDA-Intel - HDA Intel PCH Not sure about the double audio but I post both just in case. Is there anything else to do or I can try to install macOS Catalina?

  22. OpenCore has a setting called ReleaseUsbOwnership (Clover's equivalent is FixOwnership). I'm wondering if turning it on will solve the above issue?

  23. This setting is driving me nuts. Always persists to HDR Mode if my display goes to sleep no matter if it's unchecked. Are people just always running in HDR to not notice this?

  24. Hello Everyone, I have made some progress on making some hotpatch SSDT of DSDT patch used on T460 tluck pack. As OpenCore NDK fork is maturing enough to be a alternative to Clover with GUI boot picker. If anyone interested to Experiment with OpenCore, I think this SSDT hotpatch approach will need to be perfected. So far I have equivalant DSDT patch to SSDTs are (See attachment for dsl source file) 1_led_blink.txt ==> SSDT-PTWK.dsl 1_system_PNOT.txt ==> This patch suppresses PNOT, PPNT, PNTF method call, if found are commonly called from EC/AC adapter related code and often access identifiers that are present in SSDTs generally dropped (CPU SSDTs). I only found one PNTF call on the DSDT and because we don't have to drop any cpu related SSDT, I think we are good to go without it. If anyone have trouble without this patch, it would be great to try to make a hotpatch or binary patch if needed. 2_IGBE_PRW.txt ==> this is achived with config binary patch. 2_system_H8DR.txt ==> SSDT-H8DR.dsl, I have made two alternative verstion of SSDT for this patch, though I am not sure if any one of it work. And this patch might not be required at all because on DSDT I found this code on \_SB._INI method. If ((\_REV >= 0x02)) { \H8DR = 0x01 } and DSDT disassambly Original Table Header: * Signature "DSDT" * Length 0x000127DF (75743) * Revision 0x02 // This says revision is 0x02 so H8DR might automatically be One on newer bios version 2_system_nvst.txt ==> This patch is about enabling lid sleep but I didn't face any problem without it. 3_Fn_Keys.txt ==> SSDT-KBD.dsl 4_battery_fan.txt ==> SSDT-BATT.dsl 5_syscl_PPMCnPMCR.txt ==> This also can be achived with SSDT. As of now for two days I am running my system with these SSDTs and with native unmodified DSDT without any recognizable functional and performace difference, but the acpi log shows tons of errors with these SSDTs. It would be great help if you guys could give a hand to track down these errors and solving them. This work is done by taking as a base and modifying jsassu20's T450s repo. Because these two machines are similar they share lots of things in common and jsassu20 did a fine job making T450 fully hotpatch base. Anyone want to experiment look at his repos for direction. https://github.com/jsassu20/Lenovo-ThinkPad-T450-macOS-Catalina https://github.com/jsassu20/Lenovo-T450-Catalina-OpenCore https://github.com/jsassu20/OpenCore-HotPatching-Guide Regards, Junaed SSDT-HOTPATCH.zip

  25. It seems like Apple finally decided to solve the DRM bug in Safari and radeon RX5XX ! I can now play Netflix videos with safari without the system freezing!!! Good update! Cheers!!!

  26. I have done multiple exercises on Multiple SMBIOS's and EFIs for our builds as I had a Sapphire RX 580 Pulse 8GB and I just bought a Radeon Vega 56 two days ago. To save you all some time (and keep @AudioGod from having to answer multiple times about DRMGate) I am posting the report: The Verdict for macOS Catalina (10.15.2) with latest Lilu (1.4.1) + WhateverGreen (1.3.6 - latest commit 79398ee) pulled from the master branch is: Polaris Cards (e.g. Radeon RX580): The only thing you can get is Apple TV(+). Netflix and Prime Video as well as other DRM protected content does not work on Safari. You can try other browsers like Chrome or Firefox where you will be able to watch, but the resolution is not Full HD. To get Apple TV(+) you need SMBIOS iMac19,1 (@AudioGod's latest RX Polaris EFI is perfect) and instead of shikigva=80 use: shikigva=32 shiki-id=Mac-7BA5B2D9E42DDD94 You will have Apple TV(+) working and NO CRASHES when trying to play DRM content on Safari. It will just not play, it won't crash. Navi & Vega Cards (e.g. RX 5700XT, Vega 56, Vega 64): There are two different routes you can go: Use SMBIOS iMac19,1 (the latest and greatest by @AudioGod is perfect) and leave shikigva=80 boot argument as is. This way you'll have Apple TV(+) AND Netflix on Safari. Amazon Prime does not work (the webpage reloads on a loop saying there was a problem) nor other DRM test streams (e.g. the BitMovin) which is a bummer but WEG development is in a good way and I think our patience and the developer's hard work will give fruits sooner or later. Use SMBIOS iMacPro1,1 (the last iMacPro1,1 EFI by @AudioGod is perfect even if it is not using ocQuirks but you can also get @AudioGod's latest iMac19,1 EFI and change the SMBIOS information and remove the shikigva boot flags using Clover Configurator) and disable your iGPU. You will have Apple TV(+), Netflix and Amazon Prime Video working on Safari in HD, but: SMBIOS iMacPro1,1 is not the Perfect match for our hardware and Power Management is not close to Coffee Lake CPU as the iMacPro1,1 is packing a XEON You lose SideCar (which might not be that big of a deal, but it is noteworthy) Other DRM test streams still not work (e.g. BitMovin Demo or EzDRM) which means it is not as perfect as it seems.

  27. Hello again! #FYi: I've updated all my uploaded Clover themes on repo with these changes: 1. Most theme with `bad` 160px OS_badges have been re-standardized to 128px 2. OS_Badge's Layer transparency (Alpha) for Beauty, Chamelia, Neon, Oceanix & Smooth 3. Fix `Dotted 0` misallignment for DroidSansMono, sharper font with DropShadow fx 4. New background patterns, pointer.png designs, and refinement for some components 5. Removed sound_night.wav, \icons\os_moja_night.icns & some redundant files (for smaller theme's size) 6. Dropping HexaCore, Mojave4k, QBDark256, & Retina4k. (probably with re-add them later with better designs); ...New Catalina4k theme, and much more. Here are some examples: 1. Beauty (new transparent OS_Badges) 2. Chamelia (now it uses background pattern by default, and OS_Badges have transparency) Chamelia256 is available on my GitHub repo here (plz don't LOL me @blackosx, transparent Selection_big is terrible hah haa) 3. Neon (default background is dark blue, but you could change it to another dark colors) 4. Oceanix (the background now has pattern) 5. Smooth (it also has background pattern, Selection_big is reversed in comparison with prev. one) 6. Catalina4k (replacing Mojave4k, both theme are similar but diff. background honestly) Enjoy new themes & happy Hackintosh!
