  2. Uhmmb, I think what he meant; when installing Clover v2.5k r5096 package onto USB Pendrive; old EFI there replaced with new one so.. he lost previous files. Me personally, have no issue with this. Already tried on HighSierra (HFS+) and Catalina (APFS).

  8. @Roran90 Sounds more like a DHCP related problem. Anyway, check the kernel logs to see what's going on! @Henry2010 Yesterday I ordered one of these RTL8125 add-on cards on aliexpress but it won't be delivered before mid of November.

  9. Thanks. This temporary solution works now. I forgot to disable the patch in config.plist when using agdpmod=pikera. It do not work with 10.15.1Beta 2. <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>Prevent AGDP from loading</string> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Find</key> <data>ugUAAAA=</data> <key>InfoPlistPatch</key> <false/> <key>MatchOS</key> <string>10.13.x,10.14.x,10.15.x</string> <key>Name</key> <string>com.apple.driver.AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy</string> <key>Replace</key> <data>ugAAAAA=</data> </dict>

  10. Mat, I saw your message. That's exactly why I decided to post my results. Cause we've got very similar GPUs. So...in theory, it should work for you, as well. How did you add that boot argument? Did you add it to config, or did you set it up from Clover GUI, upon boot? Cause, what I did, was to use Clover Configurator, went to Boot section, right click on Arguments section -> WhateverGreen -> agdpmod=pikera. Save and exit. I think it should work the same way from Clover GUI though, in case you don't have another way to edit that config (like from another installation of MacOS, or an external machine). Not sure why it didn't work for you...

  11. That did the trick. Thank you. Confirmed to be working on RX 580, Catalina 10.15.1 Beta 2.

Please read me: Ever since macOS Mojave came out (I mean the first DP) Apple removed the support for Atheros based WiFi Adapters from the IO80211Family.kext, so to fix it we need to add the AirPortAtheros40.kext to the Extensions manually. After each clean install the AirPortAtheros40.kext needs to be installed and after clean installing Mojave DPs after few times I decides to create this app to save some time. How to use it: This application will install the missing AirPortAtheros40.kext into /System/Library/Extensions and after the installation is done and once you reboot your computer the Atheros based WiFi adapters will be enabled. The installation is the first step of the process and it is fast but the next steps which are repairing the permission on /System/Library/Extensions and rebuilding the system caches might take a while so please wait until you were asked to reboot your computer. I'm using a TP-Link WDN4800 with an Atheros chipset and it works on other similar hardware. If this app helped you please consider donating; any amount is appreciated.

  15. My MacPro3,1 (not Hackintosh) runs Catalina without SSE4.2. Catalina AMD graphics drivers may require SSE4.2 (or a workaround). I use dosdude1's Catalina Patcher. https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/macos-10-15-catalina-on-unsupported-macs.2183772/ Something similar may be needed for old Hackintosh PCs.

  17. Update: I tested to update to beta 2, and it worked well. For me there was no need to use agdpmod=pikera. H264 and HEVC ok. May I ask what patches are needed in order to get the Radeon VII working without WEG? Thank you in advance, Cheers,

  18. You meant it was forced to copied to a new name?..because it can't be the same folder name. I am kinda confused here.

  19. According to VideoproC yes. My IGPU is disabled in bios and it shows all hardware enabled. I didn’t decode anything though as I haven't had time.

  20. Hi @Slice Clover r5096 - 902c497a compile: there is a issue here. Instead of update, a fresh EFI folder in USB pendrive is create beside the existing one. I don't understand why.

  21. Should be already resolved https://github.com/CloverHackyColor/CloverBootloader/commit/e9ba34e5a1fcda2bc4bceca796b4dda6afdc3fd3 but not in the release yet.

  22. AFAIK Catalina requires SSE4,2 instructions absent in this CPU.

  23. Right. Clover always create a ACPI folder. Test with other version is not necessary.
    1 point
  24. @Slice also this version r5096 doesn't create an ACPI folder on the first install. After making clean install I boot with the hotkey and install this version to my drive and when I checked my EFI no ACPI folder created. Normally clover always creates an ACPI folder. I will test with other versions.

  25. GT 630 does not work properly with Mavericks or OS X, GT 640 does, up to El Capitan (or Sierra- didn't test it). For High Sierra, I bought an ASUS GT 710 1GB silent, and it works OOB without any driver (and supports the new metal- framework)

  36. Well I guess I am wrong fro assuming that my Asus z9pe-d8 ws which has C602 chipset uses a Intel 7 Series SATA Controller. I am currently trying to use this SSDT. DefinitionBlock ("", "SSDT", 2, "Pavo", "_SATA", 0x00000000) { External (_SB_.PCI0.SAT0, DeviceObj) Scope (_SB.PCI0.SAT0) { Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) // _DSM: Device-Specific Method { Return (Package (0x04) { "device-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0x02, 0xE1, 0x00, 0x00 // .... }, "compatible", Buffer (0x0D) { "pci8086,1e02" } }) } } } Which is a correct device-id for Intel 7 Series Controller. Any suggestions?

  40. @Onestyle I installed High Sierra again today in my SSD and found that there is no need of the `EFI/CLOVER/ROM/1002_6841.ROM` for Radeon to work. It detected and working perfectly without the ROM file.

  41. @Slice: When I boot the Catalina installer from a USB stick, and turn on debug, it sometimes prints the line DBG_RT(Entry, "Kernel not found at 0x%p - skipping patches!", KernelData); found in kernel_patcher.c and skips the kext injection and patching. It's the reason that inject Detect feature was not working for me. It appears to happen at random. I'm using AptioMemoryFix.efi and no slide= parameter in Arguments. Any idea why this is happening? Doesn't seem to happen from sata boot. Edit: Setting slide=0 appears to prevent this - couldn't reproduce it again afterwards. Edit: With USB, if I don't set slide=0 in Arguments, sometimes kernel_patcher.c gets reported back a slide value of 0 even though the kernel was moved, so it can't find it. If I set slide=0 in Arguments, kernel_patcher.c always finds the kernel at the non-slid location. The kernel succeeds booting either way, but when the slide value reported back to kernel_patcher.c is incorrect, no injection takes place. I don't know if this happens because of Clover, the firmware or AptioMemoryFix.

No luck on getting HiDPI to work, as it doesn't work after waking from sleep, but this is something I hope get fixed as more people move to Catalina. 20191017 T460.zip

  45. DP is problematic at the moment for all Mac users right now it's not related to the Hackintosh. Many real mac users using HDMI right now. Probably it will fix to next update. You can find detail about that issue on MacRumors.com.
