  4. But that's how you have SS01/SS02 set in your aml file. You need to set the ports to the correct one's in Hackintool and then export. "SS01", Package (0x04) { "UsbConnector", 0x0A, "port", Buffer (0x04) { 0x11, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00 // .... } }, "SS02", Package (0x04) { "UsbConnector", 0x0A, "port", Buffer (0x04) { 0x12, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00 // .... } }, See how the "UsbConnector" value is 0x0A? That means when you exported the SSDT-UIAC.aml file from Hackintool the ports were set to "TypeC". You need to set them to "USB3" then export and they will be set to 0x03. You can download MaciASL to open the SSDT-UIAC.aml file and check the values. For reference they are the following: USB2 = 0x00 USB3 = 0x03 TypeC+Sw = 0x09 TypeC = 0x0A Internal = 0xFF Once you have your ports configured and you've rebooted, you can run Hackintool and then click the "Clear" button then "Refresh" button for it to load your current ports for checking (as it states in the instructions)

Please read me: Ever since macOS Mojave came out (I mean the first DP) Apple removed the support for Atheros based WiFi Adapters from the IO80211Family.kext, so to fix it we need to add the AirPortAtheros40.kext to the Extensions manually. After each clean install the AirPortAtheros40.kext needs to be installed and after clean installing Mojave DPs after few times I decides to create this app to save some time. How to use it: This application will install the missing AirPortAtheros40.kext into /System/Library/Extensions and after the installation is done and once you reboot your computer the Atheros based WiFi adapters will be enabled. The installation is the first step of the process and it is fast but the next steps which are repairing the permission on /System/Library/Extensions and rebuilding the system caches might take a while so please wait until you were asked to reboot your computer. I'm using a TP-Link WDN4800 with an Atheros chipset and it works on other similar hardware. If this app helped you please consider donating; any amount is appreciated.

  6. I recently acquired the NUC Hades Canyon at a bargain and thought it was almost the perfect computer for me: extremely tiny, has a powerful GPU, and a lot of ports. The only downside is that it doesn't run OSX (well). Since this is my ideal Mac Mini, I called the project HaC mini and have been working on it for the past month. The goal is to have a perfect build that is indistinguishable from a real Mac. That means every hardware and software feature works perfectly. I have a background in hardware and platform engineering but no experience in Hackintosh, so this was a great learning opportunity for me as well. In the spirit of learning, I'm also releasing a series of writeups for various hard issues that I resolved in hope that it will help future hackintoshers. These writeups are independent of the NUC Hades Canyon. NUC Hades Canyon Installation Guide Writeup - Fixing Metal Drivers Writeup - Fixing Thunderbolt Hotplug Writeup - Fixing HDA Audio Some improvements to existing Hades Canyon work I've seen previously: Metal graphics issues fixed Workaround for 10.14.5+ GPU panics Thunderbolt 3 working including hot plug, usb-c + hot plug, boot without anything connected, sleep, wake, etc SDXC port working Second ethernet port working Power management working Some highlights in general: Full graphics acceleration Working services: iMessages, iCloud, Siri (with built in mics), Find My Mac, FileVault, etc Working Handoff, Continuity, Universal Clipboard, Apple Watch unlock with swapped Wifi card Multiple displays, two ethernet ports, TB3, eGPU with eject Pretty much everything works, there's some very specific hardware issues documented here and are being worked on. Front headphone doesn't work yet, SPDIF digital audio doesn't work yet Most USB ports have sleep/wake eject issues (this is a hardware/BIOS problem) For TB3 to work you must have at least one TB or USB-C device plugged in on boot and during wakeup (you are free to unplug and hot-plug while running)

  8. Its not a driver issue, it's related to how the GOP releases the firmware over to the OS to take over.

  9. I did it! Had some problems with no signal on HDMI after starting installation though. What I did: applied framebuffer patch from here (used the prebuilt one for TUF Z390) https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-general-framebuffer-patching-guide-hdmi-black-screen-problem.269149/ set SMBios to Macmini 8,1 somehow forgot to include IntelMausiEthernet.kext and was wondering why there was no Ethernet connection What works: almost everything (even built in Bluetooth) What doesn't work: Wifi (as expected) 1 USB3 Port right under the Ethernet port USB-C Port not tested DisplayPort not tested (will do tomorrow to get 4k@60Hz) Some guy on reddit (don't know the sauce) also shared his .aml patches for this board which I applied to my folder as well. First Hackintosh and I'm surprised how relatively easy that went. Research is key I guess. For future reference: if you're googling here are some keywords ASUS Z390E Z390 Hackintosh i5 9600k Framebuffer No Signal HDMI Installation platform-id device-id goodbye Macbook Pro 15 mid 2015 you've been good to me. Hope the hackintosh will be a good daily driver!

  12. I still recommend trying the latest release. Also is your USB set up correctly? Is your Bluetooth adapter set to "Internal"? EDIT: I misread what you wrote. If you're on Mojave and RehabMan's release doesn't work then my release is unlikely to work also. I would still check your USB config though.

  14. Hi, for everyone who have a problem with Thunderbolt 3/USB 3.1 Type C port and its hotplug function I have working solution created by dpassmor. Luckily I managed to apply his patch with ssdt to mine config.plist before entire thread has been deleted. Add the following to ACPI/DSDT/Patches: <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>rename _RMV to XRMV</string> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Find</key> <data> X1JNVg== </data> <key>Replace</key> <data> WFJNVg== </data> </dict> Then under ACPI/DropTables add following: <dict> <key>Signature</key> <string>SSDT</string> <key>TableId</key> <string>xh_rvp10</string> </dict> And it’s last adjustment to the config.plist. You need to add this under KernelAndKextPatches/KextsToPatch: <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>10.12.2 fudge USB 3.1 device ID</string> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Find</key> <string>30783135623638303836</string> <key>InfoPlistPatch</key> <true/> <key>Name</key> <string>AppleUSBXHCIPCI</string> <key>Replace</key> <string>30783135623538303836</string> </dict> The last step it is to compile SSDT-TB and add it to your ACPI/Patched folder, then reboot. Now I can confirm that my HooToo thunderbolt3 to hdmi, usb and microsd card reader adapter works fine thanks for dpassmor. SSDT-TB.dsl.zip
