  1. Hi everyone, like all years i will attempt at installing the new major os release in beta on an hackintosh, as fast as i can after the release. It's exiting to demostrate every year that our hackintosh are so good that we can start use the new betas in a matter of a few hours after the release. I know it's pointless, but it's very funny to do and also quite challenging, and it's nice to be one of the very first to hackintosh the new version every year. So here is how it's going to work: -download from a mac the latest release, and install it on an ssd attached via usb -retrive the correct info about the system binaries to mod the clover's kext injection to make it work with the new os (for sure it will not work for the new os release, that's why we neeed a modded clover) -copy the existing efi folder of the target hackintosh to the efi partition of the ssd attched via usb and then replace the clover's binaries with thew modified ones -boot the hackintosh from the ssd and see if it work or make some more mods and tweaking to make it work If the clover mod isn't successfoul or comes too late, i can always boot an installed os on the mac and put fake smc and all the other needed kexts inside the /s/l/e or /l/e folders (and then rebuilng permissions and prelinked kernel) and boot it on an hackintosh with the latest public release of clover, which will not have kext injection working, but it will be enought to allows the system to boot after preparing it on a mac. If all goes well it will be a successfoul install done quickly, luckly this year i am equiped with a very fast internet conenction (1gps ftth) at home and with the help of people working on clover for the mod thing, it will take me mostly the time for download, install, and waiting for the modified clover binaries to have the new os installed and demostrate that with hackintoshing you can do all the same things as a real mac as long as you have the understaing of the hackintosh behaviour. For the hackintosh i am going to use, the most native and oob it's the better for this thing, that's why i will use my trusty haswell machine with an i7 4770k, asus sabertooth z87 and an r9 280x, which is the best machine i have, which is not a mac, in terms of macos compatibility and does not require things like the usb port limit workarounds and has an original apple wifi card so i will be able to use it even if i don't succed in installing the ethernet driver or having the clover kext injection working. Reguarding the wwdc i will go at the Italian official IOS developers acedemy at the univeristy of naples to see the live stream and then i will quickly go home and start trying out all the new betas. So what's your opinin on this little thing i do every year? Are you going to attempt that as well? Will you follow the development of the hackintosh of the new version? I am very courious to hear from you guys.

  8. @OnSale Can you try the attached version of partutil? First of all, unzip it and double-click the binary in the Finder to make sure the binary runs and you don't see Illegal Instruction. If that works, can you replace the version of partutil in CloverThemeManager with the attached version? In case you're not sure how, right-click the CloverThemeManager app in the Finder, choose 'Show Package Contents' from the menu and drill down to CloverThemeManager.app/Contents/Resources/public/tools/ Then drag and drop the new version in to the tools dir, replacing the one that's there. partutil.zip

  9. In vain you did not do as Vandroiy2012 told you. "Install EmuVariableUefi" You said that you use AptioMemoryFix but this is not enough! Chipset 390 has no support for real NVRAM even with AptioMemoryFix. You have to install EmuVariableUefi-64.efi.

  10. Yeah, ABWB 802.11AC WI-FI With Bluetooth 4.0 PCI-Express (PCI-E) BCM943602CS Combo Card For Hackintosh is good! I'm using the >> BCM94331CD from an iMac ( it does required AirportBrcmFixup.kext ) and PCI-e adapter. Possibly safer to have the Wifi/Bluetooth combo cards 9 pin connected separately to F_USB2 header and USB splitter attached onto F_USB1 header if possible, but might not make any difference.

  21. @ammoune78 With Mountain Lion, Mavericks, Yosemite and El Capitan also with AppleALC or patched AppleHDA? SSDT is ok, 0F or 03 is ok. Try without SSDT and Inject only in Clover with FixHDA and/or flag alcid= Always look in the ioreg after booting and check. Edit: I have seen, the patch in AppleALC is still on the old device: 8419D411 to 03761D11 I have changed now: 8B19D411 to 03761D11 Maybe this is the mistake. try this with 3, 11 and 15 trial3_IDT_92HD75B3X5_HP_Pavilion_DV6_layoutID3_11_15.zip

  22. @ammoune78 You have already posted your codec dump. Dump.zip My guide patch AppleHDA is old. The steps CodecDump, PinConfig, xml's are also needed for AppleALC codec, but nowadays you no longer patch the AppleHDA. I hope your AppleHDA in S/L/E is still native. AppleALC works only with native AppleHDA. LayoutId 15 is almost identical to ID3. You reported that the ID3 already worked for you, right? Inject variants: Inject ID 3 or 15 either ... ... with Clover 3 or 15 + FixHDA or bootflag alcid = 3 or alcid = 15 or ... with DSDT/HDEF 03 or (HEX) 0F without FixHDA in the Clover or ... with DSDT/HDEF without FixHDA in the Clover ... "Alc-layout-id" Buffer (0x04) { 0x03, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00 }, "Layout-id" Buffer (0x04) { 0x07, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00 }, ... try this with 3 and 15: trial2_IDT_92HD75B3X5_HP_Pavilion_DV6_layoutID15.zip post your DSDT.aml for me! @DoZe currently no further ideas for ext.Mic @jonny33 has another device, which does not help for your codec. I think trial2 was good, right? Is this enough for the release? Maybe we will find a solution later.

  23. @Andrey1970 We're actually restructuring the UI under the hood, so when that's done, we'll add constraints to everything to allow resizing @ALL here's a new build, since I noticed that the last one wouldn't allow you to select any other section. -deleted-

  25. Hey there, So I got 10.13.6 installed with the patched config.plist. Everything seems to work like a charm: FaceTime, iMessage, NVIDIA 1080ti.... but then there is USB connectivity. Or should I say lack thereof. I've enabled XHCI Hand-off in my BIOS (no EHCI setting that I could fine) and followed this guide: https://github.com/XLNCs/ryzenusbfix/blob/master/ManualGuide.md So far, so good, but USB devices are not recognized, safe for my mouse and keyboard. External HDDs, audio interface etc. are a no-go. I then proceeded to do the whole thing from scratch, but still no luck. I've included a zip of my config.plist, patched DSDT.aml and IOReg file if anyone more knowledgeable than me can spare a moment to look at these and perhaps give me some pointers, that would be very much appreciated! Cheers! Technotronsky dump.zip
