Work in progress This is mini guide and config files for installing Mojave on a Dell XPS 13 9370. I took inspiration from sensibleJoe at on reddit My laptop's specs i7-8550U Intel HD 620 Graphics UHD Display 256GB Samsung NVMe SSD PM961 Killer 1435 Wifi Here is what works Intel HD Graphics Sleep Sound & Mic USB Wifi (Internal Killer Wifi will not work) Bluetooth Power Management Battery Management Screen Brightness Control What does not work Internal Wifi Camera SD Card reader I followed the vanilla guide here to create the Mac OS Mojave install USB. I used Mac OS 10.14.3. Here are some rough steps 1. Create the USB installer for Mojave. You can use apple's own instructions 2. Once the installer USB creation is complete, Install the latest version of clover to the USB disk with the following options Install Clover for UEFI booting only Install Clover to the ESP Leave everything else as default (minimal install without a bunch of drivers) 3. Then mount the EFI folder on the USB drive and replace the files in the config folder with the ones from the attached zip file over writing the files already there. This config is specifically for Dell XPS 13 9370. 4. Go into the UEFI/BIOS on the laptop, Make sure your SATA mode is set to AHCI (And not Raid). Save and Exit 5. Boot with the USB disk and install Mojave 6. After the install is complete, Use the USB to boot again but this time boot into the newly installed Mojave partition. 7. Install Clover on to the SSD with the same options as before. 8. Then copy the config files to the EFI folder on the SSD overwriting the config folder there. 9. Acquire the backlight AppleBacklightFixup.kext from here and install to /Library/Extensions (Thanks to Rehabman for the kext) 10. Reboot. EDIT: V4 fixes many things, like powermanagement, backlight control etc. you also need to install AppleBacklightFixup.kext to /Library/Extensions CLOVER-v4.zip1 point

Thanks Slice. Yeah. Slice mentioned the issue also. When I get time I'll update DD to not include appleIntelInfo by default when running the CPU info dump.1 point

Yeah. I also experience a freeze with GUI using vector themes @SavageAUS. I've been pretty busy recently so haven't run proper tests but using BGM_SVG I see freeze when: - leaving timeout to countdown to zero. - pressing return to boot selected boot device. - pressing space and choosing to boot selected boot device from the menu. I'll try to look in to it soon.1 point

questione di punti di vista, le Z390 gigabyte sono parecchio rognose e sinora non hanno NVRAM nativa, quindi potrebbe essere più semplice farsi un'hack con un ryzen piuttosto che con una Z390 gigabyte1 point

So i'm not sure where to post this but it may be clover related. I am hoping the screen says what it needs too, iStat menus and IPG are both showing different CPU frequencies and i'm not sure why. Also with corsair iCue running IPG gets pinned at 4ghz while iStat shows differently. Is this all cosmetic or do i have an issue? runme.app files attached. Send me iMac.zip1 point

Badruzeus: I truly do not appreciate the tone of your post. I have been hackintoshing for well over 10 years and know a little about what I'm doing. I've successfully built at least three hackintoshes over the years. No, I do not have a anything in L/E or S/L/E from any other install. The only place FakeSMC is located is in the Other folder of the Clover EFI folder. All of my relevant/needed kexts are there. If you would like to see logs I can certainly provide them. Preboot is attached to this post. You just have to ask, and since I wasn't having a problem, just an inquiry, I didn’t think I needed to provide any. The point in my post is REGARDLESS of what the description says in the install, my machine boots successfully whether or not I had the "blah, blah, blah" kexts installed. And yes, iCloud, Messages, FaceTime all work either way as well. That's I wondered what was the purpose of them are. And as for the other question about BIOS drivers, it looks like your installer doesn’t show or provide them (unless they are not on the screenshot). Below is the default selections when you first click on customize. You can see that no BIOS driver is selected but UEFI drivers are. Even though this is a legacy mobo. I suggest you think about how you respond to posts and questions and try to be a little more respectful. In all the years I have been on these forums, no one has responded in such a disrespectful way. prebootlog.txt1 point

What could we say w/o any log? Perhaps, your Blah blah blah kexts are installed on LE/SLE and not \efi\clover\kext\xxxxx..? #AFAICT FakeSMC is still working (just working) with no SMCHelper*.efi.. not really sure if you'll get problem with iCould, iMessage etc. #̶L̶o̶L̶.̶.̶ ̶I̶ ̶p̶r̶o̶p̶o̶s̶e̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶n̶e̶x̶t̶ ̶C̶l̶o̶v̶e̶r̶ ̶p̶a̶c̶k̶a̶g̶e̶ ̶r̶e̶l̶e̶a̶s̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶i̶n̶c̶l̶u̶d̶e̶ ̶a̶n̶y̶ ̶i̶t̶e̶m̶'̶s̶ ̶"̶D̶e̶s̶c̶r̶i̶p̶t̶i̶o̶n̶"̶ ̶s̶i̶n̶c̶e̶,̶ ̶u̶s̶e̶r̶s̶ ̶d̶i̶d̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶e̶v̶e̶n̶ ̶r̶e̶a̶d̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶h̶a̶h̶ ̶h̶a̶a̶.̶1 point

You probably need to re-run this, even Security & Privacy on Prefs already said "Anywhere".. then reboot: sudo spctl --master-disable1 point

Today's beta version of 10.14.4 installed quickly and easily. However, it seems that, since I installed it, some of my older apps are no longer working, such as UnRarX. Even the newest version of VidProc would not open. I got an error message that the app was damaged and should be moved to Trash. Anyone else experience this or something similar?1 point

I have the same issue, let me know if you figure out, how to fix this. However, I don't think that is the 'real' temperature.1 point

Wow, you must be a big fan of me then. Just joking. Well, if possible, do not hesitate to check if the patch works for previous versions. I can confirm it, there is a black screen on non-metal graphic card. I run Mojave on old ATI Radeon 4850 and till 10.14.3 all run well. Could you tell if the fresh install changed anything?1 point

@Slice New cesium theme has an issue with count down times, it cuts into the volume label. I took the screenshot with the times on the screen but its gone in the screenshot as you can see. @Slice @blackosx Also both Clovy and BGM_SVG themes freeze up if i let the countdown timer expire (10 seconds). If this is just me it's happening too i will post files needed.1 point

I successfully updated from 10.14.1 to 10.14.2 on my Mojave HFS partition by creating a full installer USB ---> in place upgrade installation. This avoided the missing frameworks/app opening problems associated with the updater script discussed above... * Can use either @dosdude1's macOS Mojave patcher tool or @crazybirdy's MBR-EasyInstallerMaker script to make USB installer from full 10.14.2 app * Boot system to USB installer and target the 10.14.1 partition to perform upgrade install * After upgrade completes, boot system to Mojave in single user mode to patch/replace com.apple.telemetry.plugin (eg with mojave2core script). Can also replace legacy kexts from High Sierra if overwritten by update eg in single user mode, type the following commands followed by <Enter> after each line ... fsck -fy mount -uw / /usr/bin/mojave2core cp -R /Volumes/USB/Kexts/* /System/Library/Extensions //Assuming you put legacy NVidia/other needed kexts in "Kexts" folder on your USB touch /System/Library/Extensions && kextcache -u / reboot1 point
