  1. Yeah the clean install of DP 10 went fine on my SkyLake rig and I'm doing another clean install on my IvyBridge right now. Update: All good on my IvyBridge as well.

  2. No, transparency is at default. Iris Graphics 540 for my Skylake NUCi5SYH is natively supported in Mojave . Thanks @crazybirdy for your script. It works to update Mojave on either apfs or HFS+ partition. Updated both my legacy systems from DB9--->DB10 (GA-P55aUD3/apfs desktop, Dell XPSM1530/HFS+ notebook) with this method. Note - App Store update does not appear automatically with Mojave on an HFS+ partition, hence need for script... Yes, you can reuse the installer.pkg to update Mojave on another machine, as long as it is at the same starting point as the original machine eg update from DB9 to DB10. I copied installer.pkg from /tmp/041-03373 to a USB thumb drive, then ran it on the second machine. Don't forget to update dyld cache afterwards.... sudo update_dyld_shared_cache -force

  3. If you enrolled your device on Apple Beta Program, then running "macOSPublicBetaAccessUtility.dmg", so what you get is a Full Installer of macOS 10.14 Beta (instead of Updates), except, with APFS - System Preferences - Software Updates.

  5. As I know, GUID HFS+ can't update-auto, need to use script to update. Only APFS can update-auto. 2577M x 1024 x 1024 = 2,702,180,352=2.7GB on mac. macOSUpdCombo10.14.pkg is untouched with Q7-Update-installScript/installScript_1014. The different size you have seen is apple's finder issue.

  8. Backlight display slider works native? I was a little bit annoyed when I installed Mojave Beta 1 on my laptop and the brightness slider function broke. And I decided to troubleshoot by first blocking the backlightinjector kext and its clover patch on Beta 10. Lo and behold, the brightness slider works! NATIVE! Unbelievable! Edit: Except still require PNLF ssdt for slider to appear. Stoked nonetheless.. Edit2: Work in High Sierra 10.13.6 without kext and clover patch as well

  23. Thank you very much for your help all, it is greatly appreciated. As my machine suffered from the "JPEG problem" in QuickLook and Preview, I needed to change the SMBIOS from iMac14,2 to iMacPro1,1 in clover.plist. Solved every issue in the new Finder Gallery view, QuickLook and Preview.app. All in all a very round system, I'm very pleased. I have 0 additional kexts installed, everything works for me with clover alone, which I find mind-blowing. Except for SpeedStep, but OK. That's just a detail. Happy hacking everybody!

  25. My brain must look like a swiss cheese… I totally forgot that I need to use your script because of your Mojave MBR HFS Firmware Check Patch 10.14.x, which I used (GUID HFS+ Journaled mode)! Terribly sorry for the confusion and noise my mistake produced here. Everything went smoothly from then on. Your updater script says 2577M size for the macOSUpdCombo10.14.pkg, Finder says 2,7 GB. I managed to archive the macOSUpdCombo10.14.pkg from /tmp. Quick question about that: Could I now reinstall this appearantly yet unpatched macOSUpdCombo10.14.pkg with Installer.app without breaking anything? Sadly 18A384a still does not fix my Exposé/Mission Control. I've reported that to Apple first in 10.13.3 (or was it 10.13.1 already?). Other than that, Mojave runs really nice over here. Edit 1: Ahhh, I did not know this, thanks for clarifying! I'm excited to see what Apple will decide to happen with the first official combo update (Edit 2: Or rather all of the release combo updates instead of just the first one… /Edit 2). Will it works on HFS+ Journaled without patching anything? I do hope so.

  27. It is 6,00 GB here. At first it didn't show up. I tried all 4 settings from SWUSwitcher (was originally in Developer Seed Programme) multiple times, didn't help. Tried macOSPublicBetaAccessUtility.dmg again. No luck. Rebooted between almost each attempt. And after the second time of macOSPublicBetaAccessUtility.dmg and no reboot it finally found it. Alright, let's see. Edit 1: … And that downloaded the "Install macOS Mojave Beta.app" into my Applications folder. I've never downloaded a whole macOS from within System Preferences. This was a first time experience! But: I do not want to reinstall everything from scratch. How do I make my update works? I've tried SWUSwitcher and Apples official macOSPublicBetaAccessUtility.dmg method… It doesn't show up: That is 18A377a telling me that. Any ideas?

Whooops, my finger slipped :O @chris1111 thx for the suggestion, tbh in fact, it had also these few lines at first, echo "" echo " Your Lilu Suite is now Ready" echo "" sleep 5 but then i just removed, since the application will freeze the build if something goes wrong, otherwise it automatically quit when all is good and at that point telling me its completed i guess was not really needed. ofc, anybody can add whatever he please to personalize it. its totally up to you.

  36. Hi insanelyDeepak, Sorry for the late reply, I've been working with Vit9696 this afternoon investigating why the automatic layout remapping does not work for some users with the latest release of AppleALC (1.3.1) Turns out that the issue is not with AppleALC but with Lilu , the good news is that the issue has been identified and Vit9696 has fixed the issue in the Lilu source code. I'm running a test build now and its working as it should do .... no need to inject layout-id and alc-layout-id using device properties. Vit9696 will be committing the Lilu changes soon to the public repo's. I've just finished testing the version of AppleALC you made for the HP Spectre X360, ALC295 Codec using layout-id 13. Test Results:- Internal Speakers and Microphone are present in System Prefs --> Sound Black Speaker Icon in Menu Bar No Sound form Internal Speakers, even after a sleep/wake event thus forcing EAPD verbs to be refreshed ... I suspect that this is a EAPD issue Internal Microphone Works ok Headphones are detected when headset is plugged in but there is no sound from them. External Microphone is not detected when headset is plugged in ... Internal Microphone still active and working. Please advise if you need any more info ... Cheers Jay

  37. @jaymonkey, I can confirm that your problem is similar. But most likely different in its cause. I changed the way Lilu reports device information, and ask you to redo the log. Also, unfortunately a lot of information is missing from the log, so try liludelay=1000 and record a video of the screen. Upload here or just PM.

  44. Finally some updates, i am working on tinu 2.1 and on my new app EFI Partition Mounter (which is the new efi partition mounter sub tool i am introducing in tinu 2.1, but as a standalone tool) and starting from today it has been 1 year since i started working on TINU, in fact the first code file i have made, the InfoviewController.swift file is dated august 24th 2017, so to celebrate that i have an announcement, i have finally managed to use system apis to do the authentication for tinu and for my new tool as well, i found a way to implement this easily by using apple script, but the problem now is that there is some code to re-work and also it may require to ask the password different times during the install media creation process, if you know any way to keep the authentication with multiple apple scripts let me know. and also for the clover part i have collected all the info i need to write the code and make it to work, inluding automatic download of the latest version of the clover installer, which is then used to install clover automatically by the app, using the settings choosen by the user to install clover. But TINU 2.1 is almost ready and it's a whole reorganizement of the clode, making it more simple, efficient and modular, (this allowed me to pull out just what i need to make the EFI partition mounter available also as a standalone tool), and tinu also recived a lot of improvements and bug fixes too, including some UI modifications to improve the usability of the app. That's all for now, just a post to update you and celebrate 1 year of tinu development.

  45. Hi guys, I've been working on this topic for quite a while. Currently I have 2 projects related to this: 1. https://github.com/rpeshkov/IntelWifi - Main repo with code, ported from Linux. Current state is that it's able to initialize device, upload microcode into it and do basic setup. Currently it works only with DVM cards (old one) and able to display beacon frames of nearby WiFi networks in console. 2. https://github.com/rpeshkov/black80211 - Repo for reverse-engineering 80211 stack of MacOS. Currently I'm working on a third project that should help me with those 2 above - I'm implementing KDP support in Mieze's kext for Realtek ethernet. Recently I've received MacBook from one guy that decided to help with the project and implementing KDP is vital for the project because without it I'm not able to do kernel debugging. Everyone who wants to join the project - feel free to drop me a message. I will provide you with all the necessary information.
