  1. @All Just as reminder... when @Allan says 'Sorry for this', pls be aware that we have nothing to do with current issues that the forum is actually facing. It is all up to @Fubra Support!!! We have pretty limited access (and knowledge) to deal with this. We also have the same forum issues as you... remember 'All for one and One for all' BR fantomas

  3. Have you tried to remove the patched DSDT from ACPI/Patched ? I'm also using Clover on a Skylake build, and never needed a Patched DSDT. All my patches are done (and very few are needed in my case) through Clover config. Were you able to boot with the exact same config before? What was the last thing you've changed? Also, have you tried booting in Single User mode?

Form sources comment: ApfsJumpStart looking for AppleLoadImage to load apfs.efi ApfsJumpStart --> AppleLoadImage --> apfs.efi So ideally, AppleLoadImage need to be loaded first before ApfsJumpStart. * It doesnt work with my pc. 9. I knew it! I was like: could that be the issue....? I thought we should start step by step. But apparently you found it first. Good job! And glad that you figured it out. As for the config, I will only be able to share it with you on Monday, since I don't have access to that computer now.

  10. Perfect! I'll check it out in more details soon. Here's the only jpg on my system that works. And yes, we're talking about the system in my signature. Although I've had the exact same issues with another Skylake build I've mentioned before, using a GTX 950 (with no Nvidia drivers, since there are none). So...I'm thinking this is probably a bug...to which the config could help...rather than a config issue in the first place? But at this point I'm not sure. I'll take a look at your config and see if there's anything striking as potentially important to this issue. Many thanks! And you should probably get some sleep, as well. :)) It's usually good for you.

  11. Thank you guys, finally, I found the problem. Before install, I used latest Apfsloader.efi and remove apfs.efi all my drives even from USB installer. But latest apfsloader.efi require partitionDxe-64.efi and I missed that part after adding this driver to my drives and USB all system boots normally now. @SavageAUS thank you for the config I will also try that. @arsradu can you also share your skylake config with me? Thank you for your help guys.

  12. Thank you so much for this! While mp4 files have always worked for me, jpegs have not... At least not the initial ones. I have one single jpg that still works... But it's really tiny and it's just a converted png from a screenshot. I still don't know how does that one work...but it does. It's the only one that still works. By the way, would you be able to share your config (obviously after cleaning up all the private stuff)? I'm really curious what exactly from that config could affect this... Cause I'm honestly not sure what could affect it.. I mean, my config is pretty damn clean as it is. And that's the way I like it. I even tried with a new config generated with Clover's genconfig feature. And no issues with it, but also...nothing new regarding THIS particular issue. Basically doesn't work no matter what... Anyway, if you don't mind sharing your config for comparison, that would be awesome! And once again, thank you very much for this.

  13. @arsradu Here is a screen recording of my QuickLook as you can see it's working normally after the changes I made, IMHO the main cause for this erratic behavior is a misconfigure config.plist or a DSDT How ever the beta version can be the second cause for that. Apple might fix it in the next release. https://www.dropbox.com/s/poy2hqjw6dm3wbe/QuickLook.mov.zip?dl=0

  14. yeah it still works but I'm not using Mojave that much because I need to get some work done without any issues so I'm still spending a lot of time on High Sierra, and yes you're correct about com.apple.quicklooks.com, I edited my previous post to avoid further confusion

  15. As @arsradu try without your dsdt first then try this config, its yours but i enabled and disabled dsdt patches and added a fix. https://www.dropbox.com/s/uz23ebxor1o156a/config.plist.zip?dl=0 You may also want to try re download Mojave and recreate the install USB.

  18. Does it still work for you? Cause it still doesn't work for me. Also, I suspect there might be a mistake in the steps above. Cause I couldn't find anything such as com.apple.quicklooks.com... :)) The closest I've got is a com.apple.QuickLookDaemon.plist. Unless the file you're mentioning above is in another location than /Library/Preferences.

  26. I had the same problem with legacy booting of apfs Mojave partition on my GA-P55aUD3 (system 2 in signature). ApfsDriverLoader.efi v1.0.2 works but not 1.1.0 or newer (even with PartitionDxe-64.efi in /drivers64). No problems with UEFI booting apfs volumes on my NUC6i5SYH however, using ApfsDriverLoader.efi v1.1.0 & newer, no PartitionDxe-64.efi. in /drivers64UEFI.

  29. Depends on what do you use to build Clover: 1. ebuild.sh won't download and add AptioFixPkg/ApfsSupportPkg to the package, unless any of the new -ext-* parameters is specified. 2. Build_Clover.command doesn't use the -ext-* parameters, because it currently has its own subroutines to download, build and add to the package all the mentioned above and it does that by default. So, the only case you don't get AptioFixPkg/ApfsSupportPkg inside the package is if you use ebuild.sh directly and forgot to use the -ext-* parameters.

  33. Rev 4560 Here I want to introduce support for Scalable Vector Graphics for Clover GUI will not depend on screen resolution. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scalable_Vector_Graphics We will can draw all interface elements in SVG and scale theme to screen resolution. To do that I found very tiny and simple project nanosvg which is written in C and open source. Nonetheless including it into Clover has obvious problems: - we have no float mathematica; (OK, I made it) - we have no standard sscanf(), we just have feeble StrDecimalToUintn() function, etc.; - we have no some other standard functions (malloc, realloc, free, qsort); and non-obvious problem: I don't know how many logical mistakes in the project. I will work on these problems and invite all coders to help me. Next steps will be learn Clover how to load SVG graphics and render it. Then scalable GUI layout. Then scalable fonts. AFAIK there can be SVG fonts. Moreover SVG can be animated. Meanwhile designers may started to draw vector themes. Welcome to new era!

  34. Following the discussion from the separate topic (good investigation, guys!), it seems that the iMessage problem originates from the change at device-inject.c from commit 4497. Before this commit, built-in property injection for LAN was being made by default. Starting with 4497, an option to control this feature was added, with its default being set to FALSE (so built-in property is being injected only when LANInjection setting is activated). And as we already confirmed in the past, iMessage activation is insisting on the built-in property to exist on some device in order to activate, even if the actual connection is from a different network device. Perhaps we could consider setting LANInjection default to TRUE, to avoid breaking iMessage for people that are relying on this.

  35. The Network Card has been working perfectly fine since at least 10.11 without any issues and is supported out-of-the-box, best method useable. All other network interfaces are disabled in the BIOS. I installed Clover 4558 and found the problem: Injection as "Ethernet built-in" doesn't work with Clover >4428. Screenshot taken with IORegistryExplorer and Clover 4558. With Clover 4428 it said "IOBuiltin: true". It MUST be "true" to activate iMessage. Final EDIT: It turns out that Clover doesn't inject the Network Card automatically as "built-in" since Clover 4428. You need to add two more lines in config.plist in "Devices" for properly injected internal Ethernet, so IORegistryExplorer shows "True" for IOBuiltin: I'll report back when my iMessage Security Token expires and new iMessage Activation is needed, but i guess it will be working again from now on.

  37. Recently, I have been having weird issues installing Sierra to my newly created partition. It always ended up with a NASTY error message saying that it could not unmount the volume for repair (what repair, anyway?). At the first, I thought the volume was dirty, so I booted to my working El Capitan again and had formatted the partition again. It still failed. Then, I thought it was the fact that I was using the installer in El Capitan to install it to the new partition. So, I created an installation USB. The problem surprisingly appeared! The problem: The problem I believe was due to the createinstallmedia tool. If the USB is in fact created with that tool, the installer divides the installation process into two. First, it copies the installation files to the HDD partition (that part creates problem), and then it reboots from that partition to install the files and eventually create the Recovery partition. The problem is that it for some reasons tries to unmount the partition it has booted from, which is obviously not possible; hence, it fails. The root problem probably has much to do with the partitions structure. In my case, I used MiniTools Partition Manager to migrate my Windows installation from my HDD to the new SSD drive. It could have been due to that, although MSR partition is also known to cause problems in some situations. The partition structure was as follow: ESP = EFI Partition MSR = Microsoft Reserved (culprit, too?) Win10 = Windows drive Sierra = New partition created for Sierra Macintosh HD = El Capitan drive (already installed and working) RecoveryHD = El Capitan recovery drive. The solution: Use the "Restore BaseSystem.dmg" method to create the installation USB. Follow these steps: I assume that you have downloaded the installation from Mac App Store. If so, then right click on the file, click "Show Contents Packages". Click on "SharedSupport". You should see InstallESD.dmg. Double click on that file to mount it. Open the OS X Install ESD partition. Make sure that hidden files visible (there are many ways, use Google). Right click on BaseSystem.dmg and click open to mount it. Open Disk Utility. Plug in your USB drive. Click "Partition" and create too partitions. One with 200MB and the other one with whatever size you want. The 200MB partition format should be MS-DOS (FAT) and give it CLOVER as name. The second one's format should be OS X Extended (journaled) and give it USB as name. And click "Apply" to format the USB. Of course, everything on that drive will be destroyed. It's needless to say that you should backup its contents first. While still inside Disk Utility app, click the second partition (it's should be named USB). On the status bar, click on "Edit" and choose "Restore". You should see "Restore from: OS X Install ESD" click on "OS X Install ESD" and choose "OS X Base System" from the dropdown menu. Now click "Restore". You might need your password to complete this task. If so, type it in and click ok then wait. Upon finition, smartly unmount OS X Base System disk under "Disk Images" in Disk Utility. Open the USB drive (the name "USB" will become "OS X Base System", that's why you need to smartly unmount the other one using Disk Utility to avoid confusion.) Inside the USB drive, go to "System" then "Installation" remove the file named "Packages". That's actually an allias (or a shortcut if you want). Go to OS X Install ESD drive. Copy "Packages" folder from there and paste it in your USB/System/Installation. The same way, copy the other files from OS X Install ESD drive to the root of your USB (the root, not inside a folder on the USB drive). You need to typically copy the following files: AppleDiagnostics.chunklist, AppleDiagnostics.dmg, BaseSystem.chunklist, BaseSystem.dmg Install Clover to the first partition of your USB drive named CLOVER (unless named otherwise). Reboot from the USB drive and everything should go smooth and without this error. This should also work for Chameleon bootloader. You might of course not need to create two partitions in this case. You should probably not directly upgrade from El Capitan to avoid this problem. If it happens while you were trying to do an upgrade, you might need to do these steps inside a virtual machine or a working hackintosh.

the HackBoot CD Remove the CD, insert Snow Leopard DVD, wait a few seconds and press F5, then select the DVD and press Enter. After booting the DVD and selecting your language, wait for the "Install Mac OS X" screen. Go to menu "Utilities --> Disk Utility”, select the HD you want to format and click the "Partition" tab. In the "Volume Scheme" combo, choose how many partitions you want. Below, in "Options", choose "GUID", then select "Mac Os Extended (Journaled)", click the apply button and wait. With this process done, close Disk Utility. Select the destination HD and go on with the installation. After the installation, boot using HackBoot again. The system is running but it needs HackBoot to start, so we have to install the boot loader (Chameleon), the essential kexts and the patched DSDT. Post installation 1- Copy the Extra folder to your boot partition 2- Install Chameleon RC5 (in Snow Leopard or EFI partition) 3- Run DSDT Auto-Patcher and copy the generated DSDT to the Extra folder 4- Update the system to 10.6.7 Restart using -v (boot verbose) Vanilla power management (SpeedStep) and Restart fix Use Chameleon RC5 Added in boot.plist <key>GeneratePStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GenerateCStates</key> <string>Yes</string> Realtek RTL81xx Driver http://lnx2mac.blogspot.com/p/realtekrtl81xx-osx-driver.html USB 3.0 Driver for Mac OS http://www.lacie.com/us/more/index.htm?id=10112 LegacyHda ALC8xxHDA.kext.zip AppleHda AppleHDA_10.6.2.kext.zip PS2 Voodoo Ps2 PS2.zip If you use VoodooHda, use AppleHdaDisabler in S/L/E AppleHdaDisabler AppleHDADisabler.kext.zip In some motherboards the audio codec may change from one revision to another, so you can use this to apply the correct patch to your revision.
