  1. You can clean install Mojave beta on an HFS partition with a patched OSInstall.mpkg (this starts core.pkg installation) ---> bypasses compatibility checks. See post#258 in macrumors unsupported macs thread, credit to @foxlet. After the package installer completes, copy boot.efi (from "Misc Files.zip" attachment or extract yourself from BaseSystem.dmg with Pacifist) to /S/L/CoreServices of the Mojave volume, and copy SeedEnrollment.plist file into the /Users/Shared folder with the "." prefix so it becomes a hidden system file eg if SeedEnrollment.plist is in your ~/Downloads fol

  2. Lately, it seems that specifying the repositories as svn+ssh:// instead of svn:// results in more reliable and perhaps slightly faster performance (at least for me). This would change the transfer protocol to ssh (svn is used only locally), which seems to perform better than svn as the transfer protocol (don't expect it to be much faster, but at least it doesn't seem to time out and disconnect duing the transfer). The changes would look like this in buildclover script: For Clover: "svn+ssh://svn.code.sf.net/p/cloverefiboot/code" For EDK2: "svn+ssh://svn.code.sf.net/p/edk2/code/

Including the guide in the Dell optiplex 790.zip. • Dell Optiplex 790 – This is necessary to install macOS Sierra for this tutorial • A copy of Mac OS X – This can be in the form of an existing hackintosh, within Windows or Linux, or even a regular Mac. • A 8GB USB flash drive (or larger) – We’ll be copying the files to the drive appropriately, so make sure that you have a flash drive with enough storage space (8GB or larger). • A copy of macOS Sierra – The method used by this guide requires that you have a copy of the macOS Sierra Installation app, which is available for free from the

    AppleHDA HDMI Audio

DSDT method still works, attached dsdt is for Fermi and HDAU is missing; no HDMI audio SSDT-HDMI-NVIDIA-PEGP@1 will not work with dsdt edits, remove ssdt. Reboot with native dsdt and run cloverALC. For 10.13.4 and newer, all non native Nvidia HDMI codec device ids have been removed from AppleHDAController.kext. Kext patch is required, credit FredWst/[pre-release] macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 - Page 18 - New Releases and Updates GTX 960/Add and edit/Replace: from 10deb90f to 10de0fba

  13. Yes. Also Geekbench went from 149000 to 182000 for me. My 7900x went from 6100/43500 to 6300/48000 in CPU Geekbench In reality though I'm getting some artifacts in windows and my main software isn't accelerated now. Eagerly anticipating a more refined beta and/or a fixed software

  25. The compatibility check is only for installation. Compatibility is not a issue. I can boot to installation screen, and install Mojave as GPT+APFS, or GPT+HFS+J, or MBR+HFS+J successful. (will not convert to APFS.) My problem is, After installation finished, it can not boot into the installed Mojave system with all the three types above. I think, it's E8400 without SSE4.2 issue. I can't figure out why Ecefer said it works with E7500? I already ask for his config.plist, not reply yet. I think we need more info. how Ecefer made it worked?

  26. It's only one user Ecefer post it work without anything, no more evidence, that's why I'm not sure it's really work or not.

  27. I do not have a LGA775 socket components to test it, but you have to review your config.plist and check your DSDT or graphics card, it might be a trick for that! If people not only one user, but users confirmed that it work, then you just have to check or ask for a config.plist that already working!

  31. It's actually the same for me with Adobe Lightroom. It's not endless spinning wheel. But it is very, very slow. Doing anything, moving any slider is laggy. And it is kind of annoying to use. It makes actually getting some work done pretty hard and frustrating. But hey, I didn't expect it to run smoothly from the very beginning.:)) And especially on a BETA. :))) So, yeah, I'm pretty happy that it actually runs. And, as I said before, and as the actual OS warns about (at least in my case), some apps are not yet optimised. This will most likely be fixed in the future. Glad I could hel

  32. In the DSDT or the SSDT you use, replace: "layout-id", with "alc-layout-id", Add -alcbeta -lilubetaall into the boot-args and use AppleALC_1.2.8v2.zip this was picked from @arsradu post in AppleALC topic This is if you already use AppleALC kext solution, if you use another solution ignore this comment

  33. I have searched through my Hack and removed anything that pertained to PS2. I removed something like ApplePS2Nub, and good news, multitouch works! The bad news, however, is that if I want to move the pointer, I have to press hard on the trackpad, but we are getting somewhere. At least now I can enjoy the many gestures I used in Sierra.

  34. This is simply not true, they have removed a ton of previously supported devices and also changed how things normally worked with its actual supported devices. Just because it worked in previous macOS versions does not mean it will work with Mojave.

    AptioMemoryFix

Hi, thanks for the report, I can confirm that the check has changed. I committed a temporary workaround in the latest update, hopefully it will work for the time being, though I am starting to like the idea less and less.

  38. The reason of requesting this info is that my ROM Chip has only 64Mb, AppleALC can be resized to about 19Kb, but the last release of Lilu have 1.3Mb and its size can't be reduced. So i can't upgrade AppleALC to the latest into the ROM because of the latest lily size, i've to stay with AppleALC 1.2.4 if i need it to be on the ROM. Ozmosis is the Bootloader of the QUO board, it's inserted into the BIOS with some files, to simplify things, it'll let you boot Apple OS without any required file on the HDD, just like a Mac .

  42. Ok i had some problems because of the testing phase, but here it is, tinu updated to create macOS Mojave installers: Download the app: https://github.com/ITzTravelInTime/TINU/releases source code: https://github.com/ITzTravelInTime/TINU/ Note that if you use it on macOS Mojave beta and you try to create a macOS Mojave beta bootable installer it will ask you to install the xcode command line tools, and note that this is not caused by TINU, this is done by the "createinstallmedia", which is the executable that both TINU and the terminal method uses to create

  44. @jym The quick way to boot into your shell without embedding it in your rom is to copy your shell binary (shell*.efi) to X:\EFI\BOOT\BOOTX64.efi (somewhere on fat32 fd), and then boot from there with csm disabled.

    Clover v.2 Instructions

Using UDK2018 We can compile Clover with UDK2018 and not bother about EDK2 beta updates. Step by step from clear. 1. Install macOS. Preferably 10.13.x at this moment 2. Install Xcode. I am using Xcode 9.3.1 now. Install Command Line Tools. Xcode 10.1 in 10.13.6 is better. 3. Download NASM https://www.nasm.us/pub/nasm/releasebuilds/2.13.03/macosx/nasm-2.13.03-macosx.zip, unpack and copy to /opt/local/bin The folder may be invisible then sudo chflags nohidden /opt or it may not exists then sudo mkdir -p /opt/local/bin then sudo cp ~/Do
