  1. WOOT! This did the trick for me. 4k motion 3D project playback is stable on my Vega FE eGPU and Lexmark score is actually a bit higher than 1600mhz config. Massive thanks @Okrasit et. al.!

  5. I used FakeID to change Nvidia Fermi (metal not supported) to Nvidia Kepler (metal supported) and saw macOS thinked my card supported metal. So I think it is just deviceID table. "but this is only for Intel" - no, it must be common because it is IOAcceleratorFamily2.kext

  7. Yes thats right, but after you send me the Clover folder it worked and when I checked I saw you included AirportBrcmFixup.kext inside the kexts folder (or maybe that was done by me I don't remember). Anyway, thanks for replay I will check to see if I can fix it

  9. I'm using Clover Configurator Pro.app from Mikey1979 that can easily find the boot partition and mount the right ESP (automatically or not). No kexts installation but is easy and fast.

  11. Hey! I'm a bit of a newbie to all this, so thanks all for your patients, but my Vega FE in Mantiz enclosure has been crashing under heavy load. I got a brand new 800w PSU and it still tanks almost immediately. The fan on the FE is not cranking up, which led me here. I tried Okrasit's edit of the kext. Then when I try: I get "Kext with invalid signatured (-67030) allowed:..." not sure if that's an error or not, but when I reboot, there's no apparent change. opening a demanding motion project maxes out the eGPU, no big fan speed change, and system egpu crashes within seconds. I really appreciate the input from Okrasit and everyone here. I feel like I'm getting close. Can anyone spot something I might be missing? Thanks so much!!

  15. Thank you so much to all! Now We have English, Russian, Italian, Chinese, Korean and German!!!! As soon as someone will provide French, Spanish and Portoguese we will cover 99% of the world Guys, I made some modification to the EDID parser after seeing @maoyeye 's ioreg (thanks) who have a 4k display with EDID v1.4 plus an extension ...that is not 128KB but instead is 256. So I made this rules: EDID must not be null, of course EDID must be >= 128KB EDID version must not be 2.0 because it was suddenly deprecated by VESA For the cases above the HWMonitorSMC2 will switch to display values and datas taken with Apple APIs instead of our EDID parser. Attached my GM because we are going to be "stable", so please test this r140... what I think is the best done until now! HWSensors-3_r140.dmg

  16. for the guys here i am sorry if i am not so much active with updates but i am working on trying to use the mac os system apis and implement privilaged tasks using official apple's method inside of tinu, for which i have found a traslation in swift, instead on relying on the command line system based on sudo i was using before, this should allow tinu to be more secure and also should allow me to to pubblish a version of this app on the mac app store in the future (of acouse a limited macs-only version and there will be a separated an hackintosh version with all the features unlocked distributed outside the app store)

  19. Rev 4450 A data leak issue was identified in the hibernation code, allowing hibernation encryption key to be passed to the system through RTC and preserved till the next hibernation without a subsequent erase. More details could be found in this message. To workaround this issue a new option enabling RTC memory erase upon waking from hibernation was added: Boot → RtcHibernateAware = YES (BOOLEAN, off by default) This option relies on a poorly documented (or rather undocumented) RTC memory access, and unspecified RTC memory layout, which is implementation-specific. While it is extremely recommended to be turned on if you rely on hibernation, it may not work on your hardware (should be fine on Ivy Bridge and newer at least), and is thus optional and disabled by default. Note, that AppleRTC or FixRTC patches effectively break hibernation by reducing the available RTC memory and avoiding encryption key preservation. You should DISABLE them if you have no issues with BIOS preferences afterwards or use HibernationFixup. However, if RtcHibernateAware does not work for you, enabling AppleRTC patch and using HibernationFixup may be a safer workaround.

  22. I'm sure you got some throttling during the benchmark, due to low initial fan speed & high temps. Run the benchmark twice and you'll see. 23. Ok, thank you. Took two goes (first time it rejected the kext upon restart) but using Kext Utility after touch /System/Library/Extensions; kextcache -update-volume / nd then restarting, I think its worked. Is Luxmark the best tool to run to check if it's performing well? and will that stress it enough to push the fan up too? Because thus far, the fan has been pretty silent. I've just restarted my hackintosh and its supposed to read as attached in the ioregistryexplorer? Because if all is good, then I'll stress test the system in ARK survival evolved, Luxmark and FCPX.

  26. I have a relatively flawless setup of macOS 10.13.4 running on my Surface Pro i7 16GB 512GB Iris 640 with backlight working. To get backlight working you'll need to install AppleBacklightInjector.kext, apply the AppleBacklight patch in your CLOVER/config.plist, and install SSDT-PNLF.aml to CLOVER/ACPI/patched. Follow this guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-laptop-backlight-control-using-applebacklightinjector-kext.218222/ I recommend you switch to AppleALC instead of VoodooHDA for audio as Voodoo has an issue with mic input https://github.com/vit9696/AppleALC. Also install the NullEthernet to get iMessage, FaceTime etc working properly https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Null-Ethernet, as they require a en0/Built-In network device to validate (you still need to do the whole SMBIOS stuff too). Get rid of IntelGraphicsFixup.kext as it causes issues with window shadows. I've included my EFI folder below incase someone with similar specs wants to get their device running macOS. If you're having kernel panic issues, remove Lilu.kext from CLOVER/kexts/Other and install it later once you have everything operational. You'll also need to set ig-platform-id=0x12345678 instead of the 640 iris definition when booting into the installer or if you're having trouble booting into macOS before the frame buffer related patches are applied. 30. Hey everyone, sorry for posting late as 10.13 had some issues with crashing iTunes but I have the updated Clover and Library/Extension files. As always, update the config.plist with your own serial number and copy the files to the proper folders. I used Clover r4289 with OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi selected in the installer. The new Lili and Shiki attached allows iTunes to function without crashing. Thanks to @rehabman, @vit9696 and anyone else who I forgot to mention. Enjoy! 10.13_171108_Envy.zip

The Oyen driver is for storage only so it'll give you working USB3 hard drives and sticks but won't charge phones etc. The Oyen card uses a NEC chipset so to get it to work with the ASM1042 open the kext's info.plist and delete both instances of IOPCIMatch.
