  1. Hi I'll try to upgrade 10.7.3 to 10.7.4. The answer is.... the best way to backup my OSX .....just in case?? Time machine is all right?? Thanks.
  2. And what about a i7 2670, should I install ssdt and speedsptepper (which I neigther been able to install)? I don't find it in MBP8 set ups....
  3. I don't know if it is going to work, because mine is i7 2670.... but I'll try. Anyway if someone else have AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext v167.0.0 unpatched... please..... :-)
  4. And just in case can anyone send AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext v167.0.0?? Thanks for your patient with me!!
  5. I'm not able to install speedstepp. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I use Doix v6 and just choose 3TS_SSDT. I open termina and I type sudo (drag the file speed_steepper_lion_1072)System/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement (enter the password) The answer is: SpeedStepper v1.2 - © flAked 2011 for AICPUPM v167.0.0 - Lion 10.7.2 unable to open file, try running as root : No such file or directory I have also installed again AICPUPM, I don't know if the right version. i have also installed 10.7.3, I hope this is not an inconvenient. Can you help me?? I guess my problem is that I do not have the right AICPUPM.kext v167.0.0?? Can someone send it to me or let me know how to get it. Thanks.
  6. So I use Doix v6 and choose for example 3TS_SSDT, install just it and after I run speedstep (v.10.7.2) in terminal and MSRDumper to check if it worked. And when I have to repair permisions and cache?? After v6 or at the end??
  7. And what speedstep should I use?? or how can I know what version of AICPUPM I have?? SpeedStepper v1.2 for Lion 10.7.0 & 10.7.1 Only works with AICPUPM v166.0.0 (64bit) speed_stepper_lion_gm.zip 1.89K 2575 downloads SpeedStepper v1.2 for Lion 10.7.2 (beta) Only works with AICPUPM v167.0.0 (64bit) speed_stepper_lion_1072.zip 1.89K 3151
  8. My Geekbench score has been arround 7500 (Lion + i7-2670, 8GbRam, 2 Gb video, 750 Gb + 3TS_SSDT) My question is that in win 7 I got arround 9500, this means that my laptop runs better win than macOS?? Is there any difference between installing SpeedStep with Doix's pakage 6 and installing it the manual way (1. Follow those instructions SpeedStepper including the MSRDumper kext (LOAD IT FROM THE TERMINAL DO NOT INSTALL IN EXTENSIONS)) If install with Doix's package, have I got to incluide MSRDumper kext or is it included?? (I try to install it after using Doix's package and the terminal says that file/directory not found) I also had problems updating to 10.7.3 (I have had to reinstall it all, nevermind) Thanks.
  9. Is there some how to test if my system is working properly, I mean the speed of the CPU, etc...? Thanks again!!
  10. At last I have succedded in installing osx!!! THANKS A LOT!! The only problem is sleeping, but I'll try to solve by downgrading my bios to a06. A have a very litlte question. Is it dangerous (brick) to downgrade Bios? Is there some how to test if my system is working properly, I mean the speed of the CPU, etc...? Thanks again!!
  11. Hi!! CPU: i7-2670QM GPU: Nvidia GT 540M de 2GB RAM: 8GB Monitor: 1366x768 Two weeks old I have been trying to install following the guide written by Akennedy_4 but I have not made osx work. I’m going to try if can make it work with it, despite basically is the same. Post Lion Install: L502x V6 - autoinstall kext pack (audio, trackpad, battery, cpu temperature detection,DSDT,SSDT,applications, patched AICPUPM, system definitions) If you have the FHD Display, your screen will be fuzzy and pinkish.. you just have to get pass the set up screen so you can get to the desktop and install(copy to /Extra folder) the proper patch. It is located in the auto installer L502x-Lion_v6 > IMPORTANT!Boot.plist > FOR OTHER SCREENS!. Select it. If you have the normal HD Display, you can find the right patch in L502x-Lion_v6 > IMPORTANT!Boot.plist > ONLY FOR 1920x1080 SCREENS!. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1) As my screen is 1366x768 I have to choose the IMPORTANT!Boot.plist > ONLY FOR 1920x1080 SCREENS!, have not I? The kexts in the pack are mandatory to boot without rBoot LE CD/ to be fully functional. Install them with Kext Wizard (also provided) in S/L/E (but they are autoinstalled by the package v6?) 2) Do I have to install all the tips marked by defoult in v6 Doix Package?? Do I have to choose SpeedStepeer and system definition?? 3) Do I have to copy any DSDT in /Extra?? 4) Before it osx must reboot itshelf, without rbootle?? Thanks!!
  12. Is it compulsory to copy de DSDT to extra?? I think in the Doix original guide you do not have to copy the DSDT. 13. @jnxjn I burn again the DVD and the instalation finish all right. I do what you say and again the same kernel panic. When you say DO NOT INSTALL THE DSDT INCLUDED OR THE SOUND KEXTS you install every thing the same except the DSDT and the sound tips?? I'll try one more time tonight. Thanks!!
  14. When you say everything, you mean activate all the tips (except the one from the screen, system definitions and Speedstepper where I choose the ones needed)? Thanks in advance.
