1. Hi, I am in desperate need of a dsdt, even though I can not yet install lion on my Dell (on iAtkos L1 or L2 it gives me CPUs failing to respond to interrupts kp). It's the model with i5 2430m @2.4Ghz, 4GB DDR3 and nVidia 525m w/ 1GB. Also has an integrated Intel HD3000, I don't know what it is for, it's useless. I would like to have everything working perfectly, even though for now I think Intel Centrino wireless doesn't work... I need at least the graphics, the trackpad & keyboard & the sound to work. Thanks in advance
2. I recently successfully installed Mac OS 10.7.2 via iAtkos L2, even though I couldn't use my trackpad nor my usb mouse. I did a format of the hard drive via iAtkos V7 (The only one which boots perfectly) and then, using only the keyboard, I installed everything. But when I got it to boot, it gave me a kernel panic: "cpu (3) is failing to respond to interrupts". I tried booting with ignore cache and it didn't go past the Apple grey boot screen, and also in safe mode (-x), which also gave me the same panic. At the moment I can't install Lion in any way, because iAtkos S3v2 gives me, ironically, the same kernel panic L2 does. It's frustrating, since my laptop is really performant and brand new, so I would appreciate any help given
3. Sorry the Mountain Lion is not iAtkos, my dad told me it was but seems it's the install esd or so..
4. Hi, I recently got a new laptop, Dell n5110, which packs an Intel Core i5 @2.4 GHz (Sandy Bridge, second generation), 4GB of RAM (gonna be upgraded soon to 8GB ) and an nVidia 525 w/ 1GB RAM. I already got WIndows 7 Ultimate on it and I would like to install the iAtkos Mountain Lion Developer Preview on it. The only issue is that I've also tried installing iAtkos L1 and L2 (had no luck, it tells me to start the magic trackpad or mouse, I also tried to plug in my USB mouse before booting, and the cursor moves, but the installation still tells me it doesn't detect anything) and S3V2 (doesn't work, on disc boot it gives me a kernel panic-"cpu(s) failing to respond to interrupts" or smth like that). I haven't yet tried iAtkos V7 but I don't intend to, because it's just useless, I think. Is there any chance that it could work if I tried booting the latest iAtkos with Mountain Lion? I really have no ideas left... I may try installing Lion with an ###### and a burned DVD, but I have to find all the kexts and everything..
5. Hello again, Indeed the cpu is celeron 440m. Assuming that I get all the necessary kexts, could it be possible to try and install 10.6.3 from the retail disc? Also, I think that the major issue is that I don't have any AHCI option in my BIOS. It's a phoenix, I've seen an older version of the same bios in a tutorial and it actually had ahci settings. If you consider it necessary, please tell me if you need the bios settings screenshots... Thanks for trying to help me, I appreciate it very much!
6. @aleff thanks for your reply! Here is my tech specs list from System Profiler. My wireless card (Atheros 5006/5007 EG) is not shown, but it may as well be useless, as it hasn't ever worked on Mac for me. I will come back with the choices I made when installing iAtkos v7 in short time. Please let me know if the link doesn't work.
7. Shouldn't backing up all the kexts and then reintalling them before rebooting (just like ###### does on 10.6+) work? Just asking because I can't remember every choice I made when installing it to my Acer TravelMate 2490 "######" is the installation method from Tony Mac x86 for hackintoshes -> after you update, you run it, choose fixes, and you're done. For some reason, I don't see the name of it even though I've written it correctly.
8. Hi, I have an Acer TravelMate 2490 on 10.5.7 (installed via iAtkos V7) and it is working (almost perfectly, which I've achieved through very hard work). I want to update to 10.5.8 in order to be able to sync my iPhone 4s. So what is the basic process? Do I have to back up all the 10.5.7 kexts and install them again afterwards? Please be patient, as I haven't done any update so far on my hackintoshes.
9. Hi, I'm new to the laptop osx86 scene, but not to hackintoshes in general. I had an old laptop with W7 on it and got bored so I decided to install Mac on it as well (I already have a 10.7 hackintosh). So I tried installing iAtkos S3V2 but it never worked well (when simply booting, the music from the intro was playing but the screen wasn't working, whilst in safe mode it worked but without usb, sound, internet). So I then installed iAtkos V7. It works amezingly well (except for the wifi - the eternal Atheros 5006/5007 issue - I use PdaNet and my iPhone to connect to the internet). But now I decided that I should install 10.6.3 at least, for using Apple Logic Pro 9 and other stuff I use for music production etc. I tried installing 10.6.3 via Retail DVD & #####. But it never booted my disc. I suppose it doesn't work because I didn't set my BIOS up correctly. But in my BIOS there are no settings for example for AHCI or other stuff mentioned by TonyMac, as well as many others. My BIOS is plain and simple a Phoenix one, with too less settings being available. I cannot get 10.6.3 to boot, so I'm pretty much helpless, except for the case in which a kind and smart developer in here bothers to help me
10. Hi, I'm new to the forum but I've been doing installs of Mac OS on hackintoshes for about 2 years. I recently reinstalled 10.5.7 (iAtkos V7) on my Acer TravelMate 2490 and now I find out that I can't sync my iPhone 4S with it, because it requires 10.5.8 or later (sic) and it almost makes me go back to Windows My question: is it possible to make my computer "think" it's 10.5.8 without really being so? I've had some unpleasant experiences with hackintoshes I updated (kext incompatibilities etc.) and I don't want to update. I spent too much time only by making my 10.5.7 system go as smooth as possible (working trackpad, sound, 1/2 of the wifi and everything else).
