  1. Hi to everyone and thanks in advance. I have some problem with the sound coming from the headphones. Currently using latest AppleALC, but the problem was here also with all th previous versions. Here is some info and attached CodecID. 1. Laptop Model: Acer Aspire Nitro VN7-791G 2. Codec Name: Realtek ALC283/0x10EC0283 3. Layouts used: 1,3,11,13,15,44,45,66, 88 Layout 01: Only Headphones and Line In are working with perfect sound quality Layout 03: Internal Speakers, Internal Mic, Line In are working, Headphones work but the sound is very low and there is some crackling noise Layouts 11, 13, 15, 44, 45, 66, 88: Nothing works 4. macOS: Tried on Catalina and Big Sur card1Codec0.txt
  2. Hi. I can't get the internal mic to work, tried layout-id 3,11,13,15,17,18,21,27,28,30,31 and 99. Codec ALC255 on Acer Predator 317-52-71WQ. Linux codec dump attached. Thanks in advance. Codec_Predator_317-52.txt.zip
  3. Yes, Huge thanks, I have working internal speakers, microphone and headphones with Your kext. Archive.zip
  4. I am trying to make an old Alienware M17X R2 useful It's running High Sierra 10.13.6.
  5. Thanks, I will report in a minute. Edit. Still no sound on internal speakers, thanks anyway. I won't bother anymore, but here are the Linux codec dump and VodooHDA's getdump if someone wants to take a look. With layoutid 19 I have sound over headphones and working internal mic. There is a Internal speakers output device in System Preferences/Sound but no sound from the speakers. I do have working internal speakers with VoodooHDA. Archive.zip
  6. Hi. Can someone please build this AppleALC.kext (source in attachment) for me?. I've made some modifications for the IDT92HD73C1X5 codec due to no sound on internal speakers, but I can't build the kext myself. Thanks. AppleALC-1.3.4.zip
  7. I've managed to load AMD6000Controller.kext, AMDRadeonX3000.kext, AMDLegacyFramebuffer.kext, AMDLegacySupport.kext and IOAcceleratorFamily2.kext and IOAcceleratorFamily2.kext from High Sierra but no QE/Ci either, and never will be possible. High Sierra is the highest mountain that the 6650M will ever climb (and other GPUs with no Metal support).
  8. I've attached my config.plist and yes, i use Clover o inject the custom EDID. config.plist.zip In my case it was picking up the custom EDID but it didn't inject it until i used wrong senseid for LVDS. Try this, when you create the DisplayMergeNUB.kext with FixEDID, it also creates a Display Override folder/file on your Desktop, copy it to /System/Library/Displays/Overrides/ and try injecting the EDID again with Clover. Use the same EDID in Clover and in the Display Override file. When you are making the kext your Display must be recognized, this way you get the correct address, ProductID and VendorID of the display. When done, use the custom EDID i made for you in Clover and in the override folder. If it's not working, try with wrong senseid and try every framebuffer without patching it.
