Hi adnunkurt,

I successfully installed Snow Leopard on my hp 6510b using the stuffs you provided. Thank you. But I have issue regarding shutdown and restart wherein the pc do not power off totally. I have installed the OpenHaltRestart.kext but it's not working. I've done many testst and found out the "AppleBCM57.." kext for LAN is triggering this problem. Are you experiencing this? Do you have a fix for this? Thank you in advance.

Hi,

I managed it to control the backlight of the HP 6510b, at least a bit.

Nevertheless, there are still a few issues:

-The left part of the screen is much darker.

-There are only 3 steps to dim the screen.

The DSDT I used is attached.

Maybe there is someone out there who is able to edit the DSDT to solve the problems, and to make backlight control working correctly.

Thank you for your help,

murphy2

Hi Adnankurt,

I just finish my ###### SL install in my 6510b and I noticed that I was missing the network port and wireless.

I tried installing your Broadcom5787.pkg.zip and in the middle of the installation it crashed.

After rebooting I get the OSx error screen, I notice that it has the following error:

Version mis-match between Kernel and CPU PM"@/SourceCahe/xnu/xnu-1504.9.17/osfmk/i386/pmCPU.c:707

Do you know how I can recover and fix my network issue?

Thank you,

Ant

Hi Murphy2,

I tried that and some others that I found and nothing worked. So finally I installe it again, this time it did work, this time I selected easy dsdt and when I rebooted it crashed...

So I was planning to reinstall and use a dsdt for this notebook but... The darn thing died! The DVD player does not work any more :)

So I am going to try something else.

Thanks,
