[GUIDE] Lenovo T460 macOS with Clover

I tried this on my T460s - just using stock VoodooPS2Controller.kext v 1.83, I appended .NotUsed to my SSDT-PS2K-T460.dsl and I appear to have three finger swipe (between safari pages) but that's the only gesture I can get to work.

I'm completely new on OC, you may need help from others too. But i forgot to mention NullCPUPowerManagement.kext, that need to be deleted, as you're using your proper DSDT, extract your CPUpm SSDT, add plugin type, and copy it to the ACPI folder.

    I think you're missing some drivers, as HfsPlus, and the config.plist have to be cleaned from unused. The boot file not folder also need to be deleted maybe, I think it cause conflict with OC as its clover? In my case, these settings are primordial to let the laptop to boot, and do not know how to add them into the config: <key>HaltEnabler</key> <true/> <key>PatchAPIC</key> <true/> <key>Devices</key> <dict> <key>Inject</key> <true/> <key>USB</key> <dict> <key>AddClockID</key> <true/> <key>FixOwnership</key> <true/> <key>HighCurrent</key> <true/> <key>NameEH00</key> <false/> </dict> </dict> <key>Graphics</key> <dict> <key>EDID</key> <dict> <key>Inject</key> <false/> </dict> <key>FBName</key> <string>Shrike</string> <key>Inject</key> <dict> <key>ATI</key> <false/> <key>Intel</key> <false/> </dict> <key>LoadVBios</key> <false/> <key>PatchVBios</key> <true/> <key>RadeonDeInit</key> <false/> </dict> <key>KernelAndKextPatches</key> <dict> <key>KernelLapic</key> <true/>

I believe that something is wrong, because the first time i've tried macOS High Sierra, i had the same screen. But in the case of my pavilion dv6-1380ek, i can boot using clover on GPT drive using UEFI installation, and I'm running High Sierra successfully with UEFI and all things are working well. Now for the OC, let's try it.

Replacing board serial with my real Mac Pro 5,1's?

Thanks for the clarification @InsanelyMacaholic, all good points... The reason I had asked is that a lot of music software has really restrictive licensing policies, (ridiculously restrictive, some limiting you to 2 machines.) And when you own a lot of software the authorization process to get back up and running can take a few days... Some companies are also less easy to reason with if you change machines every few years... Since most music software authorization schemes are just challange/response codes based on the machine ID, being able to keep the same board ID/serial number would theoretically prevent me from having to re-authorize most of my software, saving a few days of my life :p That said if I do decide to sell my old Mac Pro it does sounds like it could be a hassle, and I'd probably just be back in the same boat of having to re-authorize anyway.. Last thing if you don't mind... 1. I've seen some posts where people say the number they used eventually wound up getting registered to a legit mac. I'm assuming this is very rare?? 2. Also, I've followed a guide to get iCloud working. Although system profiler shows my onboard ethernet IS en0, my mac address does not start with en0. (Under the 'advanced' tab in network preferences). Is this going to cause an issue with iCloud?

  23. Hi, the following article has helped to resolve the issue. It is sufficient to patch through Clover bootloader DTGP and FakeLPC. Currently the computer runs with multiplier x6 (2.0GHz) and CPU temperature is 63C,56C,59C,57C Best wishes, osx151212
  24. Hello, I have P5KLP-CM mainboard, the BIOS was modified to support Xeon CPUs, Xeon X3363 CPU has been installed, SMBIOS iMac13,2/iMac10,1, Clover bootloader. The system boots into 'High Sierra' (10.13.6) fine and works ok. I found that CPU multiplier runs at maximum x8.5 (2.83 GHz) all the time and CPUs temperature hit high numbers (81C, 77C, 76C, 73C) for just running OSX and no any applications started. If I boot into BIOS settings and run Hardware monitor then it indicates CPU temperature at around 65C. Is there any remedy to this situation? Thank you, osx151212
