streaming from non-itunes daap server

Seems like one option worth pursueing now that the atv is being opened up software-wise is enabling a work around to the pin code required to connect via daap to itunes. This isn't supported by mt-daapd (aka firefly) http://www.fireflymediaserver.org/ and it would be nice to be able to stream to the atv from non itunes (e.g. linux based NAS) servers. Wonder how hard it is to implment given the underlying protocal is the same.

One option might be to run front row copied from a mac via a hacked menu option since front row connects to any daap server.
