AMD Graphics compatibility?

4 posts in this topic

Recommended Posts

So I have MAC OS X running on vmware.

I have an AMD A10-4600m APU. AMD 7660G graphics card.

8gb ram.

Everything seems to run fine and can go through apps quickly(not sure what mac full speed looks like imo)

I can't play videos on VLC and full screen youtube lags.

Scrolling on pages on youtube is also slow idk why.

Anyway to enable HWA for my GPU?

Should I use more than 2.5gb ram, considering I have 7.5?(minus the graphics memory)

Any other advice?

Not going to work as there is no QE/CI driver for the VMware virtual graphics card. The host card is irrelevant here as VMware uses its own virtualised device.

So any way to fix the lag with flash?

Some flash video sites lag and not sure what to do about it.

Other than that,it seems to be fast and reliable.

Also does video memory matter here and can I change it?

I see 32mb video memory and seems low.

edit: Any way to get shared folders working?

I tried, but could not set it up.

I want to let's say make a shared folder of my music on Windows and use it on the MAC VM.

Can someone help me with this?

I have windows 8 and VM MAC OS X 10.8.3
