Dell 5520 not working

1 post in this topic

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys!

I am trying to get my Dell 5520 WWAN Module to work in 10.5.8 to no avail.

I have tried all the drivers I could find and settle with working on the Novatel-provided driver, as this is the only one I could find which had reference to the EU870D.

I thought (obviously foolishly) that by simply changing the Product and Vendor IDs (8137:413C) in the Info.plist file to those of the Dell-Branded module, would make it work... no such luck!!

I have contacted Novatel to attempt to get an unbranded (PID2420:VID1410) card, but they no longer manufacture it and that they cannot legally provide technical support for Macs (other than their driver) ;) .

Has anyone got this card to work on 10.5.8? If not, has anyone got it working on Snow Leopard (if so, I will probably buy it and upgrade).

Many thanks to anyone that can point me in the right direction.

Regard Dom
