FTP troubles (freezes)

Hi! I have a seriuos ftp trouble over here. I've tried some ftp clients (Cyberduck, CuteFTP, Transmit...) and when I try to download some folders, it starts to create the folder structure on my hard disk and then it freezes. I have to disconnect and reconnect and start copying folder by folder. The same with uploads. If the folder structure is not very big (lets say only two levels of folders and files) it copies correctly. Any clue? ¿?¿? Perhaps any TCP/IP setting? ;)
