T-Mobile supporting iPhone? Yep

It doesn't sell them. It doesn't promote them. Apparently, however, T-Mobile will support them.
The Consumerist is reporting today that a recent change left iPhone users on the T-Mobile network without voicemail. Worse, when someone tried to call an iPhone on the T-Mobile network, the system sent a blank text message. Unless the iPhone user had an unlimited text account, those little messages were costing money.
Several customers contacted Executive Customer Support and got a phone call that acknowledged the problem, and gave the customers a 1 month service credit.
T-Mobile, through a representative, said "T-Mobile, though they do not offer the iPhone, (but) they are committed to supporting users on their network who have them."
True to their word, within a day or two the problem was fixed.
Wow. Just wow.

The only thing i like about T-Mobile is the cheaper data plan
I've been with T-Mobile since the iPhone was first unlocked. I wish the data plans would come down, though.
Aw man..I wish I knew this sooner. Got a G1 with cupcake and it’s good but not as awesome as my GF’s 1st gen iPhone, all chome and sleek. iPhone envy
BTW Tmobile service doesn’t nickel-n-dime like ATT but the coverage is not as good.
Back when the iPhone had just come out (2 yrs ago) the managers at the t-Mobile call center near me all had hacked iPhones on the company employee plans. T-Mobile likes the iPhone a lot. They just hate Apple of America’s “hands off our product” approach. What’s funny is the knowledge that if you have ATT the little g3 symbol lights up for it because they can flip that little message switch on and off at will, so you may have bought a g3 iPhone but not be getting g3 speed.
When I first bought my iPhone 2G, I wanted to get the $6/mo data plan for it and I had to tell them what kind of phone I wanted to get the right data plan (there is some other $9.99/mo plan that doesn’t offer anything more). I was skeptical about telling them I had an iPhone, but I told them anyways. They said they were going to transfer me to their iPhone support to get it set up on the phone. I was like, wow! This was before the iPhone 3G had even come out yet. They don’t just support it, they have a whole tech support group that is specifically for the iPhone. This is just another reason that I love T-Mobile and will still not go back to AT&T (Cingular) again.
It’s probably real easy to support the iPhone for T-Mobile. I live in the netherlands and just as Johan sais; they are the official seller of the iPhone here and in other parts of europe. That basicly means that they have all the required techniques it’s just a matter of implementing them elswere in the world.
T-mobile does sell iphone’s , here in the Netherlands en other parts off Europe.
Great internet speed, visual voicemail .. all works great.
