and Is line in working? I have Mobo Asus P5G-MX with ALC883 codec but no line in working. Help?

bachok83
i believe the line in was not the focus of the driver (read, line in doesnt work).

the driver was custom made by Taruga to give 5.1 sound output.

I have problem with this driver.
After install it my sound card works perfect (speaker, headphones and mic appear at the audio panel options), but it stops after restart the system. After reboot I have “ no output devices found” Is there any chance to fix it?
My system is a Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD Intel Amd at Acer Extensa 5620Z

Espionage724
Wel these drivers work perfectly (well almost) on my laptop. I have working built-in speakers and headphones and everything else...only thing is that i get 3 built-in speakers but no problem there lol

i think uve messed up with the kextcaches and mkext

manually remove extensions.mkext in System/Library and the Caches directory in System/Library/Extensions/
it should fix your problem.

I installed this driver and it works fine except Leopard could not turn off power while shut down. Anyone has idea about it?

sudo -s

rm -R /System/Library/Extensions/ALC*
rm -R /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA*

works for me on P5K PRO. All except SPDIF that vanished. And aggregate doesn't put together front and rear... still plays only from rear.... :s
Taruga ur da man anyway !
gkr41
So, has anyone found a solution for the shutdown problem? The chud method is not an option for me, since my CPU has only one core, and the modified working kernels are not vanilla. sad.gif
mRusso87
Works with GA-965P-DS3.

Using kext from OP - Rear audio works, can aggregate 3 streams to get 5.1. No SPDIF. Rear Mic works, rear line in works. Front panels don't work.

Update:

Working:Rear Line Out, Rear Mic Not Working: Front Headphones, Front Mic - SPDIF OUT Working (coax and optical).

Updated all notes on for GA-965P-DS3 on http://wiki.taruga.net

hi... i dont find my driver for my hp 530 for the audio, if every one have it, pleas upload for download or for u know one web site that i found that?
hiroshi
tried this with P5K-VM Micro ATX and I get static when it starts to make a sound... if I try to make a system sound repeat over and over it distorts. This happens with every driver I've tried so far.

(using Kalyway 10.5.2 -> Kalyway 10.5.3 update)

I haven't found anyone else with this problem, though...
supermx3
didnt work for me
Ardman
Just to confirm that i've got it working on an ASUS P5K-C mobo biggrin.gif .

Strelok

supermx3
tried it on my system, i try to setup a aggregate device and i only get output on my normal line out, no 5.1 for me sad.gif
Espionage724
This works great with my Acer laptop (have all sound inputs/outputs working now finally) but when I go to select the output list there is 3 Internal speakers. Any idea how I could eliminate the 2 that don't do anything?

Just for anyone with the same setup. To those users of an HEL80, this does fix the no audio through the headphone jack. Thanks to the maker of this kext. Now if only I can figure out if it's possible to get the OS to recognize when I plug in my headphones to cut the internal speakers and go to headphones....anyone have any idea?
