The thread is filled with alot of people who haven't posted 'useful' replies. This post is all you really need to look at.
1st Guide:This is the saviour kext developed by
flee and
medevil, which provides decent support for your chipset.
2nd Guide:This is
my guide for injecting the kext into the
Leo4Allv4.1 iso.
3rd Guide:This is
ObsideonX's guide to the MCP67 and his Laptop, including useful attachments and information.
Before you post anything in this forum, please read these three links
thoroughly.

Hope I'm not too late to join the party ;)Yeah, even i'm suffering due to the lack of mpc67 support.Wishing Eddie all the luck that he might need...IMHO, if eddie's leo4all get support for mpc67 its gonna the be the best distro!!!Can anyone please confirm if the NForce SATA Controller by MeDevil
http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=77071 is working for mcp67m or not

Apr 21 2008, 01:57 PM
I am working on this, it would be easy to integrate if I knew what kext did work. The problem is 056010de and 055010de are not supported on Medevil's current Nforce.kext. I am going to try the older version to see if there is any difference. I could use another tester with this chipset though, so PM me if you want.

Greenturtle985
Apr 24 2008, 09:19 AM
Yes. Hence why I made this topic about having 'lack of support' for this chipset. The torrents at 15% for me at a high download speed so I should have it by tomorrow and I'm picking up my laptop today so I will try out the nForce ppf!

HI all,
well i've been thinking that since I'm not really sure which kext is going to work for me, so is it possible to load a kext into memory from a flash drive while I'm booting off the installation DVD at the Installation Screen ?
Then after i know that a particular kext is working for me, I'll inject that onto the leo4all v2 dvd.
ps. Is the leo4all available at the bay?
Duffsta
Apr 26 2008, 02:53 AM
Greenturtle did you try leo4allv3? any luck???
eddie11c
Apr 26 2008, 02:57 AM
Ok for the update, the old nforce driver will load and see the drives, but due to the integrated video it freezes when you try to write to it. I am still working on it though, so keep hope alive.

OK did some more research, the integrated video may not be the problem. There are 2 IDE controller Device ID's for this board. 055010de and 056010de. The first being in IDE mode and the second in AHCI mode. Currently I don't think AHCI is supported by any NforceATA kexts. Your Bios is limited and has no options for turning AHCI on or off. We are looking into more to see if AHCI is enabled by default, will report back when we get further.
Duffsta
Apr 26 2008, 01:55 PM
Yeah i cant turn ACHI mode off within the bios kinda sucks, keep us updated mate so many people need a solution for this problem. good luck
Greenturtle985
Apr 26 2008, 02:24 PM
Interesting stuff. Before my Laptop was taken away I was Triple booting XP, Vista and Mac (Mac on an external). Wouldn't XP crash if ACHI was enabled wouldn't it just crash?
aku
Apr 26 2008, 04:51 PM
all our problems would have come to an end if only there was the sata/ide option in our bios...
Now, keeping that in mind, is there any hack available for the bios?
I know it would be risky, but its worth a try

@eddie, May god bless you mate, it seems you are seriously doing some hard work on this case, once again good job mate!
Do keep us updated with your progress.

I finally got my laptop back! I tried the nForce old and it did detect the drives! I tried to format one of my partitions except it just took forever and just gave me an I/O error.
I installed it to an external but to my surprise the drives didn't show up as readable within OS X? Is there any up date on this eddie?
Sam
This morning, even i tried the old nforce ppf...
While booting off the dvd, it took forever, the process did freeze for a couple of minutes, but then again it started.
The DiskUtility was able to detect the drives, but when i tried to format them with MacOS Journaled option, the video went choppy and ultimately, it went off with hazy stripes all over the display...
even i was wondering, is there any news from eddies side?
I was just wondering, if leo4allv3 gold will be able to detect the drives or not... i'm outta dvdr's as of now.

May 2 2008, 09:24 PM

I am still working on this guys, be patient. I have 2 things to try, but it takes time to get the ppf patches to work so someone can even test. I should have alot more time next week to work on it, so am hopeful to find a resolution finally.
