Hi,

I am new here , and want to do a build . I built loads of PC's in the past and recently got an iMac, which I like, but the lack of upgradability is killing me , and {censored} me if I am going to get a Mac Pro! They look good but cost way too much .

I just saw on Engadget them talking about Psystar offering Mac builds that can install Vanilla copies of Leopard!

This got me excited because if I can build a system and have it running perfectly with and be able to reinstall etc if I need to in the future then that is amazing!

I don't want to go all out, but I want to get a nice GPU (around $300-400) and a pretty damn good CPU.


So!!! Please recommend parts for a good build that will mean i have full functionality/compatibility.
And do i need EFI Emulation.

On the same forum there is another dell with intel q6600 and a 24'' monitor for around 600 dollars, i think the 24'' monitor can be sold for $300+ in case you don't want it.

I think if your cpu has sse3, you'll be able to do efi, almost every cpu in the links above can do efi
