i installed a copy of photoshop (adobe master collection dvd), and activated via telephone method.

now i have a weird issue i havent seen or heard of and i know it cant be just me

if i select the selection box tool (dotted line box) the cursor flickers from the tool cursor to the normal arrow cursor and the tool cant be used.. it only seems to do it with the selection box and it does it usally after @ 5 min of using ps and i have to restart and then i have a small window of time i can actually use the tool before it starts back up. i have tested on 2 separate machines with 2 diff video cards, but both are kalyway 10.5.2

one machine is an intel badaxe2 mobo with 7300 gfx card. another is a asus maximus with 7950gtoc gfx card.

nobody uses photoshop cs3?

I am having the exact same problem, but also with the type tool. Anyone know of a fix? I am using Kalyway 10.5.2

Just to Let anyone who has the same problem that I did, I did the software update for ps cs3. That took care of my problem. I went from 10.0.0 to 10.0.1. Hope this helps someone else.

I have this problem too, the update (PhotoshopCS3) didn't worked to me, I have the same problem with illustratorCS3, FlashCS3, and I still having the same problems with typing on other programs =P

Try CS4. It works really great and has OpenGL now!

Working fine here (CS3), no issues....

My first OSX86 install was Kalyway 10.5.2 and PS CS3 worked fine. Now I use iATKOS updated to 10.5.5 and everything is fine too. Maybe you should try a different distro or another video driver?
