Read carefully !!!

if you want adding drivers support to dvd boot you must put the Kalyway_10.5.2_DVD_Intel_Amd folder on your desktop then put kexts you want add to dvd extensions in the ADD_KEXT_TO_DVD folder (you can find natit for ati hd in this folder) and run Add_kext_to_dvd_boot.command !!!

Notes: if you have problems on reboot with video gfx (blue or black screen)

All you have to do is just press F8 at Darwin's prompt and then type -s (single user mode) then

at root type mount -uw /

and /movevideodrivers

then it will be prompt to move video drivers by class ( nvidia ; ati ; or intel gma) voila!

type yes to confirm or enter to skip !


Even if you have chosen a kernel at install, you can still try the others kernels after installation ! (same thing for dvd boot except that only modbinkernel , speedstepkernel , kabylkernel and nforcekernel are available as boot options !)

All you have to do is just press F8 at Darwin's prompt and then type the kernel's name you want to boot with :

I had problem with 10.5.1 dvd shut down. i am using P35 board with ich9r. after patching Alc8889a, 10.5.1 can not be shut down. i did choose kernel_vanilla_922 . With this new release,how to choose a option which can fix the shut issue ?

Thank you, I just got on irc for the first time in my life and got the kernels 

edit: Just want to say that with the 9.2 sleep kernel has finally fixed my sleep. It go to sleep in about 6-7 seconds and wakes up within 2-3 seconds. Restart and Shutdown works good too.

The install dvd could not boot from a DVD unit connected to Jmicron even if this one is correctly handled by system after installation. That's all

Installed this new release.

I am using P35 Board with ICH9R.

Previous DVD (10.5.1 DVD ) had shut down issue, but was working fine with restart.

This one, also can not be shut down and CAN NOT RESTART .

By the way, i did install 922 vanilla kernel. also added ALC8889 _shut down driver....

Don't know why ?

installed it. BEAUTIFUL work, all my pc is now working, blazing fast load time for the dvd, easy install, lot of options (though some options are not noob friendly), extensive hardware coverage. Had a little problem with my usb-s but i changed the kernel to modbin 9.2.2+usb fix and all was ok. Lots of thanks for the introduction of rt73 drivers, macam ( macam does not have the quicktime component installed, but that is no bigee) and ps2 keyboard support. Thank you, great release, no problems whatsoever up until now.
Edit: another problem i noticed is that i had no QE (2600procard, installed both the x2000-x300pack and the 2600 pro fix) but had resolution change. Anyway i checked the Atiradeonx2000.kext info.plist and my devid was not in there (95891002), dragged the kext to dektop, modifyed,reinstalled and now all is working fine.

Yes these are included in the setup ( you can choose about 6 kernels, afterwards you can test any of them). Initially i choosed the 9.2.0 sleep kernel, but with 9.2.2 modbin it worked). Also the usb fix is included named USBPCGen. Also if you have problems with the usb detection cyclonefr has a fix at http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=96381

I have two hard disks and installed OSX on second one. When it's the only one connected to

motherboard I can easily boot and start MAC.

My first HD has Ubuntu and XP and I use grub to select one of those.

So when I attach both HDs to motherboard I can't seem to boot to OSX.

I installed Leopard using GUID option and I can see that there is a FAT32

partition on my second HD (just before HFS+ partition) that efi files are on it.

I have read that if you want to use Grub to boot OSX you need to point to the

partition that contains efi files, something like this:

kernel /boot/boot_v8
boot

( My OSX is installed in (hd1,1) )
This doesn't work and I get error message 17 saying that the partition can not be mounted.

I was wondering if you have changed anything in efi file names or they are being installed

as original ones.

Kalyway: Which version of MeDevil's AppleNForceATA did you include in this install? I know I had SAM read issues before, and needed to use the test-version to get it working. Is this the one that is included, or just the regular version?

I am bit of confuse in option during the setup before install , uncheck or check box ,. because after install successful and restart and stuck loop in gray screen. then tried different setup, still no go. hope someone help me .

my motherboard is Gigabyte K8nsnxp-939. cpu amd 4200+ dual core, video is BFG 6800 ultra, Hdd is Maxtor 200 gb sata, 2 gb of ram memory. anyway see cpuz.htm

Well downloaded it, but can't get it to boot on my XPS m1330

It even doesn't kernelpanic but just stops the CD and that's it.
It stops at: IOAPIC: version 0x20 vectors 0:23

I have dualcore & speedstep disabled at boot.

the vanilla 9.2.2 kernel is a 64bit??

Installed it yesterday, my machine works better now (slower with Kaly 10.5.1 + Upgrade 10.5.2).

I had to install an old IO80211 (10.4.5) to get my Atheros 5005G to be recognised ( it doesn't work properly tho) and my GMA950, as you said, still has those annoying glitches ( particularly in CS3).

Well, good job, I'm looking forward to your next release, hopefully a solution will be found for the GMA950, otherwise I would consider buying a proper graphic card
