So I switched my main desktop over to mac and I am absolutly loving every detail about it. The biggest thing I miss from windows is having a remote to control my music collection with. I know there are remotes out there I can buy but I have a regular Microsoft Media Center remote from before the switch. I was curious if its possible to get that to control itunes or front row rather than spending money on another remote.

I don't think you can. Unless someone made a driver for it on the net.
Apple Remote FTW.

Try a joystick enhancer application and connect the remote to it.

Thanks for the responses. I'll go out and pick up a different remote (I supose its time to part ways with the microsoft one anyway lol). It was worth a shot anyway.

Hi Giraffe:
How about using
Remote Buddy?
I heard of this product on the MacCast PodCast with Adam Christenson. I haven't tried the software, but they had some callers swear by the product.
By the way, I'm using Griffin's AirClick USB to control Front Row, DVD Player and iTunes on my OSx86 PC.

I've looked into that but while it shows support for the reciever I have, it doesn't support the remote. I shows that you can use the reciever with the Apple remote. Seems to be the theme with most stuff I've found.
