Dont know if ATI HD3650 will work on Hackintosh..
As I can see 3800 series works..
But haven't seen 3600 series works on it.
Is there any tutorial or solutions that will make HD3650 works?
Thanks!!

Ah so is that why I get just a blue screen?!?! I added Natit.kext, did the chown/chmod, deleted Extensions.mkext, and repaired permissions. Rebooted to a blue screen and no cursor. Running a Sapphire 3650. So I just need this special x2000.kext to get rid of the blue screen or is that another issue I need to solve first? This is on 10.5.2 with the Graphics Update.

Hi Netkas,
I am new in OSX86.
I do want to fix the qe/ci. Will the kext from Triakis works. Or I need a special x2000.kext from you?

I'm wondering if I had an old package at first that caused the problem. I got the latest 9.2.0 kernel and the latest 3800 complete package off irc last night. I have a fresh 10.5.2 install on an external drive that I will try it on later today. Hopefully that will do it and I'll just redo it all on my internal drive. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Well I've switched to the mach_kernel off the irc channel and installed the latest 3870 package. Still boots up to a blue screen. When I boot off my external drive, what files do I need to remove/replace to remove the package. Is there any other info I can provide that may point to why I get this blank blue screen?
Oh, my Device ID is 9598.

Apparently I missed the Natit.kext the first time. I removed it and got back in. Here's some more info. I added my device id to ATIRadeonX2000's Info.plist and got the same result. This is with 10.5.2 with the Graphics Update. However, if I load it onto a 10.5.2 install without the update I get a blank white screen.

My situation is same as you, but using a new pkg from irc yesterday.
My test results are as follows:
3870x2, 10.5.2, and graphics update can change resolution w/o qe/ci (X2000.kext not manually loaded).
3870x2, 10.5.2, graphics update, and added device id to X2000.kext (X2000.kext manually loaded); black garbled screen with white squares and freeze after logo.
3870x2, new pkg, 10.5.2, graphics update, X2000.kext loaded manually; blue screen and freeze after logo.
I hv provided some info to Netkas yesterday in irc. If I hv time today, I will provide more info to Netkas to study on it.

Glad to know it is not some problem with just my card. Hopefully Netkas will be able to track down the issue. Right now I'm reinstalling 10.5.1 as I cannot get either of my two 10.5.2 installs back up without a blank screen.

Netkas, just tried 1 hr ago (before go to work).
I got black screen and no response, even waiting for half an hr.
I also choosed not to test in full screen mode, I received white screen. Can see the menu bar, but the cursor keeps spinning.
Updated the Glview database, same result.

Any thing I can do or any info I can provide for my 3650? I'm thinking of just ordering a Sapphire 3870. With that I should just be able to install the latest package, new Natit.kext and the white menus fix correct? It seems the package works best with the 3850/3870. Although if I can provide any info or do any testing to help get the 3650 up, I'll try.

Netkas, I can run the test now; but without QE/CI. Bellows are what I did:
1. Re-install 10.5.1
2. Upg to 10.5.2
3. Graphics Update
4. Install Natit.kext dated 26 Feb and reboot. I haven't install 3870x2 and the 3650 pkg
5. Run the glview test
What next, I shold do?

No luck here with the 3870 I just got. Under 10.5.2 w/ the graphics update I just got the blue screen again. Under 10.5.2 without the graphics update I get a white screen. It is a Power color 3870 with dev id 9501. It is already in ATIRadeonX2000. I guess I'll send them both back and try and Nvidia card. Ugh.

Congrats on getting your 3870 to work, Aikidoka.
Any news on the HD3650? I saw a comment on netkas' blog that someone managed to get it working, but sadly no details. I'm beginning to fear only another graphics update from Apple is gonna help.

I also want to know that. Tried many times can't get QE/CI working.
Tried the suggestion in the 3850/3870 thread suggested by firstcolle and wait for 10 minutes (with dev id in x2000.kext), I got blue screen with cursor moveable; but without the menu bar and icons.

Dangit lol . I just ordered new parts for a desktop setup becouse my inspiron 9300 seems to do everything fine but crash in wow every 5-15 min with 10.5.2
I just so happen to get the 3650 graphics card for the build. I thought i had done all the research on most compatible parts. I just assumed the 3650 would work as the 3870's and the 2600's do. Oh well i'll wait. I'll test any new stuff if needed. Newegg should have everything here this week.

The HD 3650 kexts are available now on irc.
Unfortunately, I'm still without CI/QE. I've tried installing 3870x2 pkg, then installing the 3650 kexts but I just get a blue screen on reboot. Also tried just installing the latest natit and the 3650 kexts but no go. Tried both dvi ports. Haven't tried dvi2vga yet.
Anyone have any ideas?
EDIT: DVI2VGA isn't working either.

I have a 3650 and getting the blue screen with the new 3650 drivers from irc as well.
This is on either DVI port or using a DVI to VGA adapter.
I installed Kalyway 10.5.2 with no graphics drivers, installed the new drivers (both kext and bundles) via kexthelper.
Was that the wrong way to install them?

My card's dev id is 9598, too, but still no luck and a quick check of the wiki shows no one has had success with them yet.
Guess this is why it took a month after 10.5.3 to drop to devs before these kexts were released. I don't think anyone ever expected or fully tested them to work.

I've install Leo4all 3, then i tried to work on the 3650 but no luck.
With or without the Apple graphic update, and with 3650 kexts +- natit.
Only 3650 kexts: fuzzy, colored dots all over the screen. If i boot with -x no fuzzy screen but no CI/QE
3650 kexts with latest natit: Blu screen (right after that, when i reboot in Vista, Catalyst Control Center shows high temperature - 70°C - it's passive cooled)
So, it's a failure this far

I'm not expecting
10.5.3 to be out any soon.
Meanwhile, i can go with the X1950XT but the HD 3650 has better hardware decoders for HD videos, has HDMI video output audio capable, is less power-hungry, so it's perfect in an HTPC. Since i don't play 3d games, i can't wait to get the 3650 fully supported
Netkas, could you please tell us the exact brand / name / code of the card you showed working
here ?
I'd really like to sell my 3650 and get that specific card if there is a 3650 already supported by now.
