I know there are a few people using serial modems successfully, but I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with laptop internal modems.

It's a minor thing, but I take my laptop when I travel, and some family members (*sigh*) still only have dialup.

I can't even find a darwin modem kext to try to compile, is there even one?

Any news is good news,
Scott

Most of the modems including internal ones too, are supported, you have just to check it out if yours it is working or not....goto control panel/networking/Location:New Location/ and here can you find your modem if is supported....in the modem tab.

I've been using the OS for a while, and know that my modem isn't working.

If some work, then I'll change my question to is there a generic modem kext, or what kext is being loaded for people's specific modems. So I can try adding my dev id's to it and try loading it.

From poking around the wiki, it seemed like the consensus was that modems weren't working, hence the "is anyone's working" type question.

anyone ever figure this out?
