Some keen eyed users might have noticed that on the Demonoid tracker is finally back up after months of being quiet.

What does this mean? Well, if you have any Demonoid torrents that you still have that you are trying to download, you can start to download it again. The best part about this is that when the site was taken down, the servers weren't taken away, just the ISP stopped giving "flow" to the servers. So when the site is back up, you should be able to log in again with all your up/down statuses still there.

EDIT: It appears that the old 404 error that Demonoid had is back! Link

There is a God. I realize this now tongue.gif Haha, I'm so excited. Demonoid was the best private torrent community I've ever been a part of.

Same here. It's about time!

I wouldn't keep your hopes up. This has actually been happening ever since the site went down. Just.. some people never noticed.

Yay, we can go back to the days of slow torrents!

Now.. Let's hope it stays up..

I really do think it would be awesome if demonoid were to come back...but i wish there was a way for this information to be spread more quietly....it just makes me think that if the entire internet is screaming demonoid is coming back, that some morons will try to shut it down again (or even stop it before it happens). but once again i hope this isnt what ive been seeing for a while with demios switching the power button on and off lol, like morse code.
Dr. Hurt
Hallelujah....
I hope the rest of the site come online soon. I just love demonoid.

It might be alive again, but look closely to the ping stats...
I got average ~400ms, meaning, that the server is in some deep a$$hole. "Whois" gave me singapore.

Might be good at the end. It won't be closed again so fast :-D

When I did the pings, I wasn't at my house. The Internet was really slow. Try it on your own Internet.

Why are you complaining. I am used to pings of 400 - 1200 ms. It comes being in the dark part of the world. Try playing WOW and see how good you really are with above pings.

Good news! Atleast this means that the demonoid guys are still active trying to get it back up. No idea how long it will take, but I'm patiently waiting for it to get back up.

Calm down people.
Just think of what happened to edonkey2000.
Servers were brought back for some time, but just to log incoming users and content the downloaded.
I wish as you all do, daemon to be back again, but i'm somewhat sceptic.

The days of torrents you can actually seed... I remember I upped 15GB of Uphuck's AMD Tiger release, OSX86 is a ratio saver.

I think I fall into that category...
rathalos
as for the tracker, inferno.demonoid.com is owned by some singapore company.... i'm from singapore, but i have never heard of that company called Piradius.Net

after some googling, seems like its a service provider... and it might have links to some gov agencies.. i dunno... need more time to research on them....

Great news, this is! biggrin.gif A torrent on my server just downloaded about 10% more tonight (96.7% now! nearly there tongue.gif) i'd been trying to get for a while. Hope to see demonoid up and running again. Not necessarily the fastest, but had a gynormous amount of torrents, many of which were difficult/impossible to find elsewhere.

offtopic: i love your signature Grav3Mind, even tho i don't really game...

It is appearing that it is down again. It is pinging to 127.0.0.1. I pinged inferno.demonoid.com. They might be tracking people who access it. tongue.gif

If you ping http://inferno.demonoid.com you ping demonoid.com
