I have Leopard 10.5 installed on Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6 Ghz, Asus P5GC-MX motherboard,1GB RAM and 200 GB SATA HDD. I have also installed Final Cut Pro 5.1 UB installed but i cannot run FCP. When FCP starts, one error is reported and ask to ignore, relaunch or quit.

But after I removed the Apple Qmaster framework from Library, its working fine. But I don't know what bug or error will happen when running FCP without qmaster. And let me know what is the use of Qmaster with FCP.

User feedback is welcome here.

I have the same problem. I'm about to try the QMaster fix. I'll report back if it worked for me.
QMaster is the program that handles distributed processing to render farms. Basically, it lets you use several computers to run Compressor. I don't need that feature, so I'm hoping removing it will be cool.

Thanks for your reply on Qmaster. Then, I hope running FCP 5.1 UB without Qmaster will not create any problem on a single workstation. But what might be the reason why Qmaster is not running on Hackintosh.

Hi Everyone,

Qmaster is working perfectly after updating Leopard to 10.5.2
Give a try, Mine is working.

Just adding some info to this thread.

Had QMaster on 10.5.2, all updates. Comp would freeze when coming back from sleep, and had realllly long boot times.

Downloaded a script to remove QMaster, all is well again.

Looks like 10.5.2 doesn't have all the answers.
