Today, it appears that all devices that are using EDGE technology in the mid-east of the US might not be working for quite a while...until February 5th. It seems that the servers that control at&t's edge network are out, meaning that no EDGE will work. This seems to affect users from Chicago to Kansas, a strange area if I do say so myself. Again, at&t said that EDGE service might be out until February 5th at the latest. If you are affected by this, let us know!

I kept getting a remote connection failure today at lunch (12:00 CST) but by second break (2:30 CST) all was well again. I'm in Arkansas. The odd thing is that I was on the 3G when I got the error not EDGE.

EDGE is a slow, but it's not unbearably slow. I can wait the extra 5 seconds for my page to load. It's not that big of a deal.

I live in Kansas and my Samsung Sync still showed the "E" symbol and not the G so all must be well here.

Funny thing is, my coworker has a Blackberry 8830 on Verizon's EV-DO network and the internet doesn't feel any faster at all. I am very content with T-Mobile's EDGE service. Just wish it had as capable a web browser as the iPhone's.

EDGE? People still use EDGE?
I thought all smartphones had 3G nowadays, at the very least. The 3.5G ones are becoming pretty popular now...
