this error is a xcode bug!
it asks for your root password...
edit the run script and remove all "sudo" -> try to build
or
logout and login with your root account and build the project
nop
the sudo is needed to run commands as root
this is a os x 10.5 bug
the only way to skip this is to build iwi2200.xcodeproj as root
iwi3945 users
try the same procedure to build iwi3945.dmg

Now the interface need to be loaded manually to system preferences>network.

Am happy to report I got the iwi2200.dmg from SVN latest working finally after doing a little tweaking. Basically after the install, I went to the Disk Utility and repaired permissions, but it still wouldn't work. Through the terminal, I was able to see that permissions were correctly set for iwi2200.kext & iwi2200.pkg, but ownership was not consitent with the other files in that dir. Was able to change ownership back to root for all contained files within those packages with the "chown" command. After another reboot, nsGUI did not come up automatically, but when running manually, it came right up, I was able to power on the device, and log onto my WEP enabled wireless. Hope this helps to adjust the dmg package installer. Speed seems to be noticeably better than before now as well, looks like there has been some great work on this, keep it up!
