Im having a growing suspicion that my video card isnt living up to its full potention all leopard.. especially after seeing benches from cards that i know are not even half as good as it.

Ram: 4x1gb Corsair XMS DDR2-800 Clocked at 800mhz
Video: as stated above Nvidia(EVGA) 8800gts 640mb 'gts skateboard'
WD 10k RPM HD
GA-DS3L P35 MOBO

For Video.. i used Punk92's installer.. i have full resolution options... everything runs pretty smooth.

Any suggestions?

First suggestion: Don't use XBench. It sucks. Use a real graphics benchmarker like Openmark.

no doubt.. but xbench should be sucking proportionally for everyone.. but everyone is getting way better gfx marks than me with crappier cards.... like not saying ur card is horrible... but what are the xbench marks for it.. cause i know my card is better but it probably got a lower score.

Edit: in the mean time im downloading OpenMArk now.. if you could, post me some of ur scores.

Edit: With 1 Big Cirlce (1152 Triangles) i get like 3333FPS

and at 1 hundred million triangles i hold a steady 3fps

Edit3: ok i ran the benchmark and scored a 23228
I checked out that Open Mark Thread and ppl with 7600 and 7900's were beating me. WTF? Again im not dissing that card but this is a more expensive, better card that should be scoring better.. and in windows probably does score better than those others. Is there a way to overclock these cards and have it be OC'd In OS X? Cause i know how to use software like Rivatuner to OC in Windows but is there a program for mac? thanks

333FPS is low there, since I had Grab open and the window was out of focus. With the Focus on, it gets like 600FPS. Over 1000 with Grab closed.

100Mil polys = 2FPS

ok, thanks for running that annoying mark.. or just pasting an old jpeg in. That seems about right i guess but i cant help wondering how some 7900's were running 30k scores.
