Neither of my messengers, Adium and iChat will sign into there respective accounts. My connection to the internet is just fine and Adium gives me a pop-up message saying "Writing error"

I use iChat for AIM and Adium for MSN.

Can anyone help me and explain to me what is going on?

EDIT: Adium will work when using it to sign into Yahoo...

Probably a permissions error on the Adium config or log files I'm guessing. Try a repair permissions?

How would I go about doing that? It's happening with iChat as well but I can still use the actual Yahoo Messenger app

Also 'firefox-bin' seems to really be slamming out my processors. Running at 118% and up, is this normal?

Go to Disk Utility, highlight your system drive, and click Repair Disk Permissions on the right side.
