Memory? That is really the only thing keeping me from buying one....
I have a thrirty gig 5.5gen....and it's ALL used.....so an iPod touch is not very practical for me to use with music...the only real thing that makes me want it so much is the fact that it has Wi-Fi...but I have a laptop....so, foremost my iPod is a music playing device.....Does anyone think that the touch will be upgraded with more gigs? Like maybe 30 or 60? If so when do you think it will happen....I just can't tell if apple is going to work on it that diligently or not :-/

I use to be put off by the memory, i too also have a 30GB 5.5 which is all full up, but when i thought about it i only really listened to about a 12 albums a week (during work). My wife got me a touch for Christmas and its only a 8GB one, but it holds the music i want and a couple of films - just regular updates required when i'm board of the stuff on there.

No. Flash memory is very expensive. You saw the Macbook Air, a jump to a 64GB SSD flash-based drive sets you back an extra $1300. I doubt it any time soon, you may see 32GB in a year or two.
