Full Version: motherboard that can be compared with a mac one

I already post this, but admins deleted it instead of change location...
Someone knows a motherboard having (more or less) tha same features of a mac pro one? or imac?
I mean expansions, chipset, ports, controllers etc...

There is a topic somewhere. However such mobos are very expensive (around €500).
Whether they are worth that kind of money it is a big question mark, since in a few months the Nehalem 8 core will be available, and I don't expect a motherboard supporting the Nehalem to cost €500.
A Nehalem based hackintosh could beat the sh.t out of any Mac Pro, since the Nehalem is an entirely new architecture, featuring among others multithreading (a whopping 16 threads for the 8 core version).
