I cannot manage to get this file out of my recycle bin. Has anyone else has this problem.

Haha, wtf.

Try starting up a terminal, and do
rm -i ~/.Trash/*
(-i means ask yes/no for each file; just in case)

LOL... thats a Leopard problem, not an OSx86 problem.
I have the same issue on my REAL MacBook Pro...

Try this:
1. sudo -s (then enter password)
2. rm -f /Users/yourusername/.Trash/filenamehere
That will force delete the files.
P.S. Dont forget to put in the right username and filename.

I found that if you just drag those files out of the trash (to the desktop for example) they just disappear.

THey just reappear tho. I have the same problem. Anyone else figure this out?

I have the same problem with files that i trashed from another disk/partition in FAT32 format.
If you unmoun that partition, you can empty trash normally.
also verify your disk and repair if it needs to. damaged files can cause issues like this at times.

I can't believe no one's suggested this, but:
secure empty trash simply erases the file once and then overwrites the position it was at multiple times on the disk. if the OS isn't able to erase it originally it won't make a difference.
