I just reinstalled 8F1111G this evening , as soon is it finished installing in VMWware , I booted into native mode where I was greeted with the usual registration form. Allthough it was diffrent , it was fully accelerated and animated?

Curious , because when I installed my current ATI card perviously ( 9550 AGP ) I had to manually modify and load the kext to get native support from the card , with the fresh install none of this was nessiary. Stranger yet is that after numerous reboots , Extensions in the system profiler was showing that ATIRadeon9700.kext was not active and had not been loaded , but yet I still had full CI/QE support?!

This is rather strange and I cant remember reading about this happening to anyone else here on the boards , any ideas as to what may of caused this to happen? Thanks

I experience the exact same thing with my 9800pro. If you try to manually load the ATIRadeon9700.kext using kextload, it says the kext is already loaded even though it does not show up under extensions in the system profiler.
