Complete noob here when it comes to the unix subsystem of OS X, Installed 10.4.8 by JaS on the system. Wifi (TrueMobile 1450 ID of 4320) didn't work out of the box, coppied over and chown the 80211Family.kext from http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=8275. I get permission errors and fails in the AirPortBrd(something).kext so I open the plist for it and the device ID for mine is there, 4320. I'm stumped. The card works fine in XP.

Killed the original install messing with it, reloaded 10.4.8 from JAS and used the 80211Family.kext from 10.4.5 and the IONetworking family from macnubb's 10.4.10 disc. Airport's icon is now viable, but it list the device as Built in Ethernet. Also I'me getting system extension can't be used on Mobility.kext as improperly installed.

Edited the NetworkInterfaces.plist and made the adapter en1, airport picked up the card and it works (Yah!!!!!!!)

Still getting the error about mobility.kext.

I have gotten the Ethernet on my D600 by using these files courtesy of Kernalzero. Just to let u know I too used a JaS 10.4.8 install disk as well.
