Hi there!

Could one of you maybe recommend a graphics card?

I just bought a GeForce 8600 GT (silent) as a replacement for the old, slow one I was using before, but had to learn that this one won't help me at all to evaluate MacOS.

So, I would like to buy a new one with reasonable Windows and MacOS performance, but without spending 350 Euros. Therefore an 8800 GT-something would not be an option.
Of course I scanned through the HCL, but it's hard to find something that has similar performance to the 8600GT

I use a A8N-E mobo with AMD Athlon 4200+.

Any suggestions?

I know my 7600 doesn't compare to the 8600 but it works wonderfully for me in both Tiger and Leopard.

Get a cheap GF 7300GT from Asus, works perfectly on Leopard and Tiger!
