Guys I just bought my DG33FB motherboard and unfortunatelly IDE is not working so I'm wondering if someone has make it (IDE ICH9) to work?

use modified kext "AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext" found in this forum
and use first sata bus
if u have some trouble in boot try to use cpus flag at booting

my SATA is working properly but I would like to enable my IDE too so do you know if this can be possible?

0. I have pluggen my HDD on a compatible computer. (with mac compatible PC -i945dg motherboard)
1. I have installed "10.5 leopard Toh dvd" on this another computer.
2. I have plugged my hdd on my computer.
3. "toh dvd" must be in cdrom (on my computer)
4. now can i running leopard on my computer.

PS: My cdrom is IDe, and hdd is sata.
PS2: i can't booting less "toh dvd", toh dvd must be in dvdrom on every booting.

Guys what I did was to add my device id into the plist file of AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext and then my IDE was working.

not yet, I got an PCI wireless card so I don't need my NIC card, right now the only two things that doesn't works are the video gma3100 and the NIC, AUDIO, IDE, SATA, USB, FireWire are fully working.

I am also having the same DG33FB Mb , the IDE is not working.Can you please explain, how can i edit kext file with the id ( 0x610111AB or 0x11AB6101).Because i have tried ,but IDE was working for first time then not.

How did you get the ethernet to work? I have a similar board(DG33TL) with onboard intel pro network and it is not working.

Here's the ATA kext guys, I'll post more guides for this motherboard as soon as I make it to work.

noob question, but where do i put this kext? IOATAFamily.kext/Contents/Plugins or in Extensions directly?

Thanks to enb14 thumbsup_anim.gif ..... and helping you: Yes, you do replace directly upon Extensions folder.

You should not forget to delete Extensions.mkext to be rebuilt on next boot.

PS: I use extensively OSX86Tools and PLIST Edit shareware .... they are tricky, quick and easy. rolleyes.gif

You should pick the iATKOS v4i .... it has all ICH versions, but it didn`t have your 11ab:6101, so i had to copy/paste from yours. I wanna test and tell you the results back.
