Hi,

I am using the flat image but used the netkas nohpet kernel with netkas ACPIPlatfrom and the latest Ionetworking.kext from brazilmac.
Everything is working perfectly except that ethernet connection is sometimes dropped.
I can not reconstruct the cause because its happening everytime at a different state. But everytime ethernet traffic is involved like SMB connection to my windwos server or watching a video on youtube.
I have to reboot to restore ethernet connection.

Here are my specs:
Asrock DUAL VSTA
Intel D 805
1024 MB RAM
Via Rhine 10/100 MB Networking
ALC833 Sound

I have already changed :
* network card to an Realtek 8139.
* changed router modell
* IONetworking.kext from netkas

Syslog does not give any hints except the well known Error=35 messages.

Nothing solved the problem.

Thanks for helping,

I'm having the same issue in Tiger 10.4.10, usually under network load. Haven't figured out what's wrong yet and it's f*ing annoying as it worked fine in an earlier install. Going to try Leopard when it's 10.5.1 and see if theres any change.

Hi,

Same problem here and there are other posts with the same problems.
I went back to tiger (10.4.10) until this problem is solved.

Happens to me occasionally too (2-3 times in the last month). I however am using a Macbook.

I switched from the flat image to the ToH RC2 release and so far had not a single connection drop since then.
Hope it stays this way.

So maybe the brazilMac release ( on which the flat image is based on ) has a bug or misconfiguration here.

Thanks,
Alex
